Sharpshooter
I'm sorry mate but Biden did win, he was more coherent, knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions thrown at him. Ryan on the other hand couldn't handle the specifics when prompted, was unable to describe what would qualify for intervention, and got snagged about the Bush cuts in his 'brilliant' budget reform. Biden wasn't as reserved but nor should he have been, he had to be on the offensive if only to demonstrate when Ryan was blatantly lying. I support Biden's decision to laugh while Ryan spoke, it's an effective tool to show those who aren't informed of how Ryan is lying. Hell, Ryan even failed on basic mathematics. Nevlach
CNN poll right now has Ryan winning the debate 48% to 44% the rest calling it a draw. Another reason why I find myself wondering how do people decide who won the debate...

Nevlach
If that's the internet poll, then pay no attention, ever. There's only a handful of states and a handful of voters that will decide this elections, and Obama's winning or leading most of them.
Trelane42
All I saw were two car salesmen. One younger and one older looking. The guy with the white rug seemed more polish but also more sinister. The younger dude came off looking crooked, particularly when staring into camera, and more evasive, doubtless due to lack of experience of many decades of public lying. Zero content from both. Still wondering how they can spend bulk of the time talking about stuff the federal government is constitutionally not empowered to perform. Not seeing how this comedy will change the mind of any yo-yo who has come of age and hasn't picked a team. Perhaps Obama can sneak in a teleprompter for the next round. theminister
I don't blame Ryan, much. He had to run on Romney's words and ideas...which are deficient, if not bankrupt in many ways. Ryan has a future, but he's not ready for prime time, imo. He held his own as much as possible, but Biden is too experienced and connect much better. Dogbyte
I voted Obama of course in this poll but exactly like Canadian elections they are completely useless and only meaningful to those with deep pockets that either stand to win or lose based on the outcome. For the average everyday Canadian or American absolutely nothing will change in your day to day live no matter who wins. Similar to the hockey strike they don't really give a crap about you and know they have you in their pockets. They have already determined in a board room how much money they can strip from you down to the nearest penny without you revolting and how far they can crush you into the ground, now it's just a matter of seeing who is going to profit from it. Either your housing goes up and food goes down or some combination of needs. The only constant is that they will bleed the public dry and accomplish absolutely nothing to improve the lives of the citezens.

Tearloch7
Drybone .. you are in serious need of some kind of "lubrication" .. pontification can lead to chafing .. Mother Jones did NOT tape that .. a waiter recorded it and Jimmy Carter's grand-son got access and turned it over to David Corn .. they say the truth shall set you free .. whoever the hell "they" is .. Ossi Vaananen
Here is the formula. 1) Go fund raise . Tell the donors you cant get mid west white boyz becuz they are bible thumping gun totin bigots who cling to their guns and religion Have the tape secretly recorded behind your back. 2) Go to donors and tell em 47% of the people are lazy slobs who take from others and complain all day long from their parents basement about issues 15 grades above their pay grade that they have no say in. (no offense to the majority of the regulars here) Romney wasn't talking about you guys. He was talking about AMERICANS. You know, people who actually have a say in it. Anyways, have Mother Jones secretly record it behind your back.
Lancaster
And if it was 60-70%, like it is in most 1st world countries, this would be worse for the country how? Don't give me that 'job creator' crap either. Sweden has jobs, progressive taxes and social programs.
