Watching Hulk Hogan vs Andre the Giant Wrestlemaina 3.

Hulk Hogan is the undisputed greatest wrestler of all time

Most of you are probably to young to remember how big Hulk Hogan was.

Hulk Hogan headlined the first 8 Wrestlemaina

Hulk Hogan headlined Saturday Night Main event on NBC, not Spike or The Sci-Fi Network but NBC on Primetime Television.

He took wrestling where know one else ever did, not Stone Cold, not The Rock, knowbody.

The second best wrestler of all time is up for debate but not #1

I still remember King Kong Bundy destroying Hogan on Saturday Night Main Even when I was a kid.

There's always a dispute, wrestling is subjective.

True, but imagine wrestling on Primetime network TV today, that's how big Hulk Hogan made it.

He was actually an average wrestler but as far as making wrestling what it is today, knowbody was as influential and nowbody has taken wrestling to that level of mainstream popularity.

Hard to tell if it was actually Hogan or if he was just placed in that position by Vince.

Incorrect. Randy Savage vs. Ted DiBiase was the main event of Wrestlemania 4.

No doubt, he wrestled a match with Andre that 33 Million people watched on television. Mind boggling especially when u think RAW probably draws about 3 Million nowadays.

For #2. But I agree with him, Hogan's #1. The biggest ever. Even if he's not your favorite.

Hard to tell if it was actually Hogan or if he was just placed in that position by Vince.

It was Hogan, look at how they have placed Cena, with the way they have placed him he should be the next Hogan, but he hasn't even come close.

One could argue that people were far more willing to accept a single wrestler as a sort of "God" twenty years ago. Look at how simple the moves were back then, yet we all bought into it. It's a lot harder these days for a wrestler to reach such an elite status in the eyes of the fans.

That being said, Hogan sold himself and pro wrestling better than anyone else has and probably will

Hogan capitalized on a perfect character back then. "I am a real American" was perfect timing, just when the States were dealing with the cold war. They used that to make Hogan into an American Hero and it just took off from there.

His matches against Volkoff and The Iron Sheik were huge.
