GoaltenderInterference
Anybody but Weekes.
Markus Alexander Cody
Certainly, though he was named the Canucks' secondary play-by-play man in 2008 once Shorthouse started calling games on Sportsnet. Every time Shorty calls a game on SPAC, Ball provides the radio play-by-play on TEAM 1040. He's been doing this for four years, becoming quite familiar with calling Canucks games over the past number of seasons. It will be great to hear him call games on television now. TotesMagotes
Wait so how is Mark Lee going to express his love for the Oilers now by doing Jets games..?

DocHouse
There's no need to find a replacement. If they need one... there's always Kenward!
Baggins
I could care less who calls the games as long as they're all televised.
filthycanuck
Hughson gets the early game. Prime Time.
Riviera82
This is great news, Mark Lee and Kevin Weekes were simply awful. It'll be really nice not to hear NUGENT- HOPKINS!!!! being screamed at us whenever he touches the ice. To the poster above who mentioned Tom Larschied, I think it would be awesome if he was doing the color-commentary again in some capacity. He is kinda old now though and is maybe enjoying his Gillis-induced "retirement".
spliced
I'll have to see how Ball does I don't have a strong opinion of him just yet. I probably wouldn't mind Hrudy if he wasn't so anti-Canuck. That was one thing I liked about Weekes, he didn't have that negative attitude towards Vancouver that Simpsons and Hrudy have. I hope everyone likes stories about Al Arbour. Salmonberries
Great news. Love the shot-caller (Baller) though I didn't think Mark Lee was as bad as most did. Rick Ball will do a bang up job.
Lancaster
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I hate to knock the guy, but Joey just isn't cut out for play by play.
Mr. White
Man, Mark Lee was just terrible, I could barley stand watching CBC games
B-town Canuck
I still liked the occasional game called by Hughson during the regular season, but what can you do.
aGENT
HUGE improvement over Lee/Weekes IMO. Baller's pretty good and Hrudy, while a bit annoying at times is very knowledgeable and by all accounts a really nice guy. Frankly a barking dog and screaming baby would have been an improvement over Lee/Weekes though...lol
bossram
100% less Lee and Weekes... My prayers have been answered.
Headshot
Thank god Lee and Weeks are not doing Canuck games. I turned on the radio and muted the TV last year so I didn't have to hear those two. But man, I feel really bad for the Jets now

Shift-4
I liked Hrudey in studio. Can't remember how he was as in game commentator.
Ugli Fruit
Mark Lee is the worst thing to happen to sports broadcasting since, well... can't really think of anything worse Kevin Weekes' bonehead comments won't be missed "See how the player crossed over the line before the puck, that's called an 'offside'."
