Alex Burrows 14
Mason Raymond for Ryane Clowe Clowes production has decreased lately and his contract expires at the end of the year as does raymonds. The sharks need speed and raymond obviously has speed. Sharks gain speed, Canucks gain toughness. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jl_RRqr3By8&noredirect=1 Im sure most people think this is ridiculous that he did this and that he is an idiot but i liked it. He might not have done it in the right way but he was sticking up for his teammate and we really need that. He is tough and can score. Just because he hasnt scored yet this year doesnt mean hes done. Everyone has slumps. Look at raymond for example. But the thing with clowe is that he is always being physical and tough so even if he is a third liner, he will be solid. Low risk high reward trade
AriGold
You under value Ryan Clowe in a big way.
logic
No way SJ does this.
CptCanuck16
How about (LW) Ryan Clowe ($3.6M) (D) Brad Stewart $3.6M) for David Booth ($4.2) Keith Ballard ($4.2)
Master Mind
No way Sharks do that. While he hasn't been that great this year, he still holds a lot of value to them. Especially for the playoffs.
Aladeen
If Wilson ever phoned Gillis offering this, Gillis would put him on hold then everyone in his office would do a Harlem Shake, then Gillis would come back on the phone and calmly agree! LeanBeef
Well a ton of Sj fans want Clowe for Stafford, who's not much better than Raymond, but personally i wouldnt do it. Schroeder doesnt play very good without Raymond and the two are amazing together.... Maybe a pick and Booth for Clowe? they need some speed down in SJ
Super_Canuck
We couldn't even get steve ott for raymond last year if you remember. Stars refused to do it, what makes you think the sharks would give Clowe for him?
c00kies
What about Hansen in a deal? We do have a lot of speed, and players that can play very well defensively, so he is extendable.
Smashian Kassian
What about Hansen in a deal? We do have a lot of speed, and players that can play very well defensively, so he is extendable.
allkill326
No he isn't.
Smashian Kassian
Yes, we do have a great deal of speed in our lineup. Obviously.
allkill326
Hansen is probably our hardest worker, any can have a major impact on games when he wants too, especially in the playoffs. If we want a cup, he is one of the last players I would trade, I would deal Higgins way before I would deal Hansen.
Smashian Kassian
I agree with that. However, our lineup probably is one of the fastest in the league. Agree with you on that Hansen issue.
allkill326
Yeah, and just cause we have alot of speed, doesn't mean we need to unload it, having that speed is a huge asset, especially when you consider alot of our bigger, gritty, more physical players bring that speed. (Kesler, Kassian, Booth, Hansen) I would like to keep as much speed as we can personally.
bossram
I think Clowe has more value than Raymond.
allkill326
Clowe is dirtier than Raymond.
Bananas
I like Clowe, but I think the spot he would have to replace would be the Higgins/Kassian spot on the second line. If Raymond can play hard with Schroeder, then let him while he can.
EagleShield
I'd like Clowe, but your price point is wrong. Weise and a pick is about right.
