DeNiro
I wouldn't trade Raymond at this point. He is a decent 2nd liner and a good 3rd liner. Good on the PK and the team needs to keep his speed.
Dogbyte
4th line for 2 games and then back to the Wolves forever.
Provost
Unless the rules have changed, playoffs shouldn't count towards it. As long as we keep him under 9 regular season games we'll b fine. I think everyone is getting ahead of themselves though... hope I'm wrong and the kid makes a big splash
gizmo2337
Judging by the goal starting at about 0:53, we could really use this guy in the shoot-out to pick up a few more points. Maybe even park him in front of the net on the power play. Edit. and again at 1:26!
406281dylan
i think Sedins-Burrows Booth-Kesler-Hansen Higgins-Lapierre-Jensen Raymond-Pinizotto/Schroeder-Kassian or Sedins-Burr Jensen-Kesler-Hansen Raymond-Schroeder-Booth Higgins-Lapierre-Kassian
pdc
Like mentioned earlier I think it's a huge jump from the SEL to a top 6 roster spot in the NHL Playoffs. I hope the CDC tempers it's expectations, let him go to the wolves first and play there for the remainder of the season. Let him compete for a roster spot in training camp next year. Let him develop properly.
laxgoalie
IF he makes the Canucks, there's an over under of roughly 12 minutes a game needed for rookies to develop properly. So if he can get that 12 minutes a night, which he wont, then he can stay, if not then send him to the Wolves to get top 6 time.
Erik Karlsson
Our team just looks like crap offensively and Gillis is only going to bring in more project players or grinders. I know it's a big jump from the SEL but he did almost make the team his first camp.... hopefully he lights the AHL up.
Dancin'Droid
It would be nice to see Jesen make the jump but I doubt it happens this year. With the cap going down this year he is most likely play for the wolves and make the jump next year. It all depends on injuries and the goalie trade. I want him to make the jump but don't see him fitting. I also don't want to put kass on the 4th line.
Ray_Cathode
If Jensen gets called up from the Wolves after some games which I think he will and he plays good enough to earn a top 6 spot, do you guys think we will be set for the playoffs forward or atleast top 6 wise? Kesler and Jensen are both shoot first players so I think putting Schroeder on the wing or even between them would really help our top 6 scoring wise. Kesler could play the center role in the defensive end and can switch off to the wing on the rush with Schroeder in the middle dishing them passes, might even cause some confusion for the opposing team. Sedin-Sedin-Burrows Jensen-Kesler-Schroeder Booth-Raymond-Kassian Higgins-Lapierre-Hansen Kesler is a selke winner and Schroeder is solid defensively so even if Jensen isn't they can make up for that and counter on the rush since they're all fast. It would take a lot of pressure off the twins to have another scoring threat every night. Then we also have a 3rd line who can score, Raymonds looked good at center and if we can't trade for a 3rd line center then we can always swap between Schroeder and Raymond whenever. Our 4th line is pretty much a 3rd line that can be used as a checking line. Which lets Kesler be used in a more offensive role which should cut down on some injuries. The only problem with this lineup is it's a little soft, but I don't really see Sestito or Weise getting too much ice time in the playoffs anyways. Could also try Jensen-Kesler-Kassian Raymond-Schroeder-Booth
BuretoMogilny
I would love to see this: Sedin-Sedin-Burrows Booth-Kesler-Jensen Higgins-Raymond-Hansen Sestito-Lapierre-Kassian
jensen383
In Sweden he had 23 points in 50 games and was -12. We should get Broc Little. He is a 24 year old American who had twice as many points (46) playing for the same team this year. Jensen may be good one day but don't think that he is the missing part to a Stanley Cup winner. pdc
The way he is playing, Schroeder is not a top six player on this team, he is not a top twelve player on this team, he would be lucky to be a top six player on the Wolves. The Higgins Raymond Hansen line should not be broken up - they are a constant threat. Booth, Kesler, Jensen might be interesting. Kassian is not showing any ability whatsoever to make or take a pass - he is a waste of whatever other talent is out with him. Maybe we could trade him for this guy:
Vancity87
Sedin - Sedin - Burr Kassian - Shreds - Kessler Higgy - Raymond - Hansen Plug - Lappy - Plug The Sedins' and Burr complete each other. The only time Kass should be playing with the twins is to make others think twice about messing with them. Kesler is a natural winger (Canucks trained him at centre) and Shreds has proven to be a good two-way centre, moreover, Kassian has better hands than people give him credit for. With these two working this Kess we would see a powerful scoring/ checking second line. Pluse playing with Shreds and Kess would force Kassian to pick up the pace when he is feeling lazy. Our third line is one of the best in the NHL, stop messing with it. And I kind of like Raymond at centre. However, I would gladly have MayRay traded and insert a true third line centre. Higgy and Hansen pretty much play great with anyone. Finally, out fourth line is a plug line (minus Lappy who is the best 4th line centre in the league). I like our new addition Sestito and have a feeling Pinizotto would be a good character player. You may notice that Booth & Jensen are not in there. My opinion is that Booth doesn't play with enough heart and wont be the solution to our problems anytime soon (trade him). Jensen will be lights out, but let him develop in the minors the way we have developed others. He needs to know our system and we don't want him sitting on the bench because of AV. Final thought: I think AV has lost the players ears. I actually thought this about mid last season and couldn't believe he was resigned. We need a coach to challenge our players, not let them figure it out themselves. Come to think of it we have a great coach down in the minors looking for his next shot...oh ya! He's a PP specialist! WiDeN
I'd love to see a healthy line up like this Sedin - Sedin - Burrows Raymond - Kesler - Booth Kassian - Schroeder - Jensen Higgins - Lapierre - Hansen No need for a trade for a forward if everyone plays to their potential
Kesler's Nose
I think he'd look good on the 2nd. Sedin - Sedin - Burrows Raymond - Kesler - Jensen Higgins - Lapierre - Hansen Booth - Schroeder - Kassian
Brockbuster
How about if Gillis is still with the team he gets off his ass and does what a GM is supposed to do, rather than talk about it!! His record of trades and drafts aren't exactly stellar and that sound you here is the rest of the league pulling our "window" closed.
