Whats up with Schneider now?

What is going on with him now? He has been not very good for a while now and his numbers have fallen off the cliff. You think it is a slump or has he come back down to earth? Been pretty average and letting in some unlike Schneider goals.

Not hating on him, just discussing....hasn't had a poor stretch like this ever

Vancouver was a better team. Pretty obvious.

New Jersey is kind of a team in disarray right now.

I know his wins are low all because the Devils being a bad team. But just talking about lately, he hasn't been good. He had top numbers even though he wasn't winning but have fallen since.

So Schneider isn't getting it done in New Jersey so it's New Jersey's fault. When he was in Vancouver, it was because of him the Canucks won.

Fans are so damn blind to reality. Face it; Vancouver traded the lesser goaltender and kept the right one.

lol well that's fans for you but lets not go there....He was great before this month and literally had no goal support, can't argue there. But his past 5 games have been poor and has been letting in some bad goals.

Past 5 games. Please. You're going to say Schneider has a problem right now letting in 3+ goals in the past few games? Maybe he's in a bit of a funk or a slump. He's still a good goalie but he's probably either battling the flu that we don't know about, or a minor injury or as I said earlier, just in a cold slump where pucks aren't sticking to him and just going through him.

Not saying he is a bad goalie all of sudden lol just talking about how he has been lately. Pretty sure it is a normal slump he is going through but he never has had a long string of poor games.

But this also shows he wasn't going to be our savior and carry us to cups with easy as many fans thought. He still isn't that goalie.

New Jersey isn't as bad as people say. They've got some stars over there who are scoring at almost the same clip as the Canuck forwards are, and their defensive systems are actually very similar to Vancouver's.

Schneider is 4-8 on the season, Brodeur is 11-8-2 with 3 shutouts. The team isn't the problem, Schneider just simply isn't good enough. I know he's still got great potential, but thank your lucky stars MG traded Schneider and didn't keep him as a starter, because he's nowhere near ready to play 70 games in this league, especially behind a much weaker Canucks team and against much harder opposition than what he's facing in NJ.

Maybe he is having going through a slump because of lack of motivation and disappointment that comes from being traded away from one of the best cities in the world to... New Jersey. I guess he is discouraged due to lack of playing time and uncertainty with his future. Poor guy, he's spent so much time playing as backup and when he finally thought he was getting the chance to be the number one guy, he gets traded to be a backup again.

VAN Defence >>>>>> NJ Defence.

ok you guys clearly don't know Devils hockey then....They have been known to be the most defensive team in the NHL since the 90's!!! We may have better names on defense but Devils overall game is trap, defensive hockey. Brodeur a great goalie, but how the heck you think he has over 120 shutouts?

lol

The Devils still are one of the most defensive teams. They have to be. If you saying it's his team, then I guess you are saying Schneider isn't a good goalie, he needs good teams?

He's a good goalie, he will be a great goalie, but it would be ridiculous to expect him to carry a team right now.
