Another game vs a team that played the night before.

Chicago really didn't look very good, they looked...... tired.

San Jose flies in after playing a tough, late game against LA and plays the first of a back to back vs the Nucks.

This is the Canucks big chance again, the tired team.

San Jose has the Nuck's number since the playoffs a few years ago, this season has not been any different, but they do get a little help from the schedule maker this game.

The kids are experiencing the trials and tribulations of playoff hockey, those types games that demand extra attention and dedication, games of character. If they can get through these games and not wilt, they will be stronger for it. A tough learning experience.

Some of the Canuck players are essentially auditioning for jobs with other teams, they are doing their best, especially the borderline players who are having their day in the sun. Those kids also know that good drafted players may very well take their spot, hence superior effort.

San Jose is still maneuvering for position, do they play Anaheim as the home team or visitor?

Losers of three in a row, before last night (Monday's game), they will want to be getting their game together and will not be taking the Nucks lightly.

Tryamkin is putting up huge ice time numbers and not looking out of place, the Nucks may have a real stud in this guy. There are many good things happening on the Nucks team, they might not be winning but so far the effort appears to be there, of course no one wants to get hurt for these types of games so I would expect to see more "containing" than hitting. WD is, or should be, treating these games as "practice" for winning next season. Every player is having to stretch themselves due to the number of injuries, next season could seem to be much easier.

The vets are playing as good as they can, effort every shift, showing professionalism. I don't expect to see Dorsett dropping the gloves unless something really stupid happens out there, but for the most part these games are mostly no hitters, which is okay, I'd like to see everyone healthy and rested for next season.

6-3
