Yep lots of passing the buck in politics. NDP should have a lot to say about it as they're linked heavily to forestry. Libs are Conservatives so they will have their word play. Greens will applaud the lowering of sustainable harvest. It's really not a bad thing for BC so far. It might mean 12.5% reduction in wages/jobs though overall thru the entirety of the trade deal. The scenario we keep him - McPhee picks Sbisa, because McPhee's a NHL GM and will definitely take Sbisa over Gaunce.

If JB manages to trade Edler / Tanev / Guddy beforehand, I wouldn't be surprised to see McPhee pick Dorsett over Gaunce.

luckylager, that's your opinion. Don't pretend to know. I get where you're coming from though.

I think we'll see Gaunce as one of our better players finishing out this year. He's really waking up.

For sure Red, in my opinion McPhee would be crazy to take Gaunce over Sbisa. I also would be surprised to see Dors taken if Sbisa ends up traded or protected.

There are so many scenarios that could play out, lots of time before the ED for trades and / or deals with Vegas. JB could pressure a guy like Edler to waive or be exposed.... Edler could get a really good return, maybe a good young center, making Sutter expendable and encouraging him to waive before the ED as well.

Ideally we expose Dors, Biega and Bachman... if that's even allowed.

Tough to say Joe, IMO I think Trymak just needs a little push rather than sent back to Russia, he could be the type of D we need. 

As long as the KHL exists, it will always be risky drafting and signing Russians.  JB gave this particular Russian an "out-clause" in his contract.  If things go south for the Canucks in regards to Tryamkin, the blame can be laid at the feet of both JB and WD.

The "Russian Factor" has claimed the Canucks as its latest victim.  Unfortunately though this wound is partially self-inflicted.

I really want Willie to play Try too but we have a deep defensive lineup and he will only be inserted into the lineup is if any of our defencemen get injured which is the case with Tanev but we called up Stecher which only seems logical but to put Troy in the lineup as much as I want Try to play.
