One major thing Benning has done with his free agent signings is he has removed any doubt any of the players may have had about being able to make the playoffs. They no longer need to just believe blindly but now have a reason to believe.

The way I see it is we already have developed 2 pfw. Bo and Virt. Bo is top shelf. Virt is getting closer. Pretty much just did this when I first seen this thread.

The thing is Benning has surrounded the young core with experienced players unlike Deadmonton. The Sabres I could care less about. I doubt I could name five players on the team which tells me they are probably similar to Deadmonton.

All the strong central teams will be fighting it out against each other making it more likely for a Pacific team to get a wild card spot. So for my prediction as to the team we beat out to make the playoffs......drum roll.....it will be the team that slips.

Who do they beat out? Well let’s see.... maybe the Flames. We beat them in the season series last year. We also beat several of the top teams last season so it could be any of the 8 that made it last year.
