Escrow is not a bad thing. You either have that, or when league revenues fall short of expectations the players have to write a big fat cheque back to their bosses for getting overpaid. That's the risk you take when you negotiate your salary based on a split of revenues, can't have it both ways unfortunately.

I'd be perfectly fine with giving Jim until the end of this season to right the ship. That starts with a new coach. If he can't get this team headed in the right direction then he has to be replaced by someone with a new plan.

They won the president's trophy and made the SCF in 2011, why on earth would they go full rebuild? 2012 they were 1st in the western conference, then a bad playoff showing. Still no reason to go full rebuild. 2013 they led their division, and 3rd in the western conference, bad playoff showing. Still no reason to go full rebuild. 2014 is where they really had their decline. Down to 12th in the western conference. If you want to wonder why we didn't start the rebuild after this year I get it.

I'm inclined to think he's talking about Bo. His solutions for fixing the problems are way off though, Green just has to go, it's obviously time. If we can fire AV 1 season after winning the presidents trophy when his style was no longer working, I think we can move on from Green.

He wasn't 4 mill was he? This year's team we've diverted a lot of the cash that was spent on defensive players and spent that on offense instead. Unfortunately we're not scoring enough to make up for the loss on the defensive side. Having Motte and Sutter back will help no doubt.

That's actually really interesting, I hadn't thought of that. It sure wouldn't be a bad idea for them to put a contingency plan in place in case Green wasn't able to pull it all back together after last season.

Good move, but Rathbone should have started the season in the AHL. Funny how everyone is hyper focused on the defensive game, and our defensive systems, but to me it seems like we have a much harder time scoring goals than defending against them. And that starts with the power play. With the skill and creativity we have up front this should not be an issue, but yet here we are.

Used to pay for this app to stream games. It was so terrible (buffering, freezing etc.) That I had to cancel and go back to "other sources". Sad when you try and do the right thing and the companies getting rich off the sport can't even put out a working app.

Pettersson is playing like a guy who missed most of last season and the entire training camp, so I'm not all that surprised. But the entire team just doesn't seem to play with any fire. You see glimpses of it, like when Horvat turned it on late in the third period. In that 2 minute stretch I saw the Canucks finishing checks, making plays, and just overall good hockey. But if you can only get that for 2 minutes out of a 60 minute game, something is seriously wrong!
