@Dazzle I don’t think Virtanen would have lasted as long under any other coach tbh. Green and Benning gave him so many chances for him to become a pro his leash was as long as Bennings and Greens. I think if he came to camp out of shape every year under BB he would have kicked him out the door. If Virt didn’t have the allegations against him he would still be on the team

@ken kaniff We really don't know THAT. Green was his only coach from start to finish (even in the AHL). He was benched, but that's not necessarily how you handle players. We've also seen Green bench players after scoring. It's just a mind&^@#. Green's so out of touch with today's game, which is surprising because he's such a young coach. Hopefully he learns from his mistakes, because he's made plenty. And coaches like Boudreau don't become great by being great all the time.

@Dazzle most coaches who become great at least do something well to start with though.  There was literally no part of Green's job where his performance even approached an acceptable standard.  Even with significant improvement, Green has little hope of even being qualified to coach at the professional level.  He should go back to the Dub.
