To add to the Sekera return, Klefbom has now returned too. Will be interesting to see if things improve for the Oilers.

Andrej Sekera back from injury ( conditioning stint ). Not too sure if his return has a lot of up side for the Oilers.

I really like McEneny. I like all three mentioned players, but McEneny is my favourite. I especially like his outlet passes from the d-zone. Not too sure what rubs JB the wrong way. His plus/ minus is pretty poor, but I believe he has been the victim of most of the Comets EN goals against.

Justin Holl, aka Frank Corrado 2.0, might actually get to play some hockey this season !! TML have now screwed two borderline NHL players Shanahan and Babcock can be beyond pathetic ! Holl has played two games this year. It's not as if the 6 d-men, who got to play, were so talented that there was not an occasional game for him !

Woodley, if memory serves me well, was part of what was considered a very weak draft. Plenty of players ended up having great careers tho'. Woodley had some weird problem with the arches of his feet. Specialised skates were meant to fix the problem, but never did. Back then, whenever we had a high pick, it was a weak draft year. That has been replaced by 'dropping a spot or three' at the lottery stage ! ( JJ Daigneault coming up to the draft stage on crutches seemed to sum up our drafting from that era ! ......Juolevi just got his crutches a little later in the process. )

I think that JB has huge concerns about losing Goldobin or Pouliot via waivers. If we are out of the playoff picture at TDL, I think JB should gamble on moving ( or papering ) Pouliot to the Comets. An AHL playoff run might be just what he needs. If lost to waivers, so be it ! Status quo is not good enough !

Tryamkin has been almost exclusively a RD. I believe that this is fairly common with Russian LHDs. Don't recall if he ever played the left side while he was here. I don't think TG would have an issue with NT playing on the right.

I am on the pro Gudbranson side of the fence. Liked the trade, but of course like any good armchair GM, I'd have liked it better if we didn't have to send anything the other way ! Such is life. Edler/ Tanev handle the opposition's top line(s). Stecher is great, but cannot handle lw with size. Gudbranson does all the heavy lifting in that area. Think back to early in the season with Brian Boyle overwhelming Stecher along the lw boards. Stecher did everything right, but physically was out of his depth. Lose Gudbranson and who will handle those duties ? Pouliot on his off side ? Hughes ? Maybe Tryamkin comes back and we can re-think this trade Gudbranson stupidity ! I'm pretty sure that the 'shiny new toy' crowd will be pencilling Chatfield, Brassard, Woo and Eliot into that slot, but they, once again, would be wrong, wrong, wrong !

Puck handling did not strike me as being even average. As he gets used to his d-men it will improve, but it is not there yet !

Jasek has not played much lately. He was on the roster for the televised game against the Marlies, but not since ( ? ) ! Any reasons ? Have not heard of any injuries or poor play concerns !

Edited this out of a Ferland thread post. In the Tryamkin saga, it fits in the 'well that's new' section. I have nothing to back up this claim.
