  1. Åman is young, i dunno how much he can grow per year in the role he has, but he plays it with pride and effort and might become a new mikael backlund in a couple of years...
  2. what i know from detroit is that Hronek was a great D-man and has not quite reached his prime. cant say much since he played so few games last season so im expecting him to be a go-to guy if he has a good pre-season training and can stay healthy.
  3. i never played hockey so these strange excersizes doesnt make the same impression on me as squats, deadlifts and cleans were on the agenda back in my day....are these crossfit and functional training types proven for musclegrowth or very specific for hockeyplayers movement patterns? or just for kuz in general?
  4. If it wasnt for the Delia incident last year i would have said Miller without any doubt. how does miller himself state things about captaincy and the role off the ice since thats where a lot of the work as a captain works.....i do wonder
  5. ah these contract negotiations are nervewrecking. im worried that this might get out of hand and u end up with auston mathews rumors about 13 mill....im hopin for somewhere around 11 for 8...below that would be underpaid id say. hes got everything needed and potential to be the very best in the league within a few years. lock him him up long term now!
  6. Hogs and podz needs to grow into certified top 6 players who produce on a regular basis and works hard both ends of the rink. they definetly have the potential...both of them...they need strength and conditioning but more importantly the confidence and pride of this kind of work ethic.
  7. yea well...i dont think petey will sign below 10 either way...
  8. if he brings what he brought in Seattle its gonna be a real good addition.
  9. Soucy feels like a great addition....if he can bring what he did in Seattle at least...
  10. well its definetly an interesting pick but...i dont think we will see him NHL ready for the next 2-3 years or so.....and thats if he takes some big steps in his development...
  11. Kuz was in the coldbox at the end of the season so the question that worries me is if he can play the way Tocchet wants. He is a scoring machine together with Petey so we will see how things pan out. im hopin he stays coz he definetly got a nose for the net and is very skilled.
  12. well this might open some doors both ways....if OEL wants to try and continue in the league that is now his own decision. how is his body doing and can he in the future compete near his previous level? No idea...his body seems to make this decision for him. wish him the best and good luck moving forward. Hope his body heals and lets him play at the level he wants it to again. if not hes still had a remarkable carreer....one most only dream of.
  13. well deserved...the way USA plays in the worlds with the extremely high intensity checking is impressive. I think garland coming home with the gold medal...
  14. cant say much since he hardly played....from what i know from detroit and what i saw at times hes a great D-man and has the size and skill u want in a D. Lookin forward to seeing him next season....as mentioned im not that excited bout anything other then bedard, will take at least 3 years untill those players grows into the players they potentially can be...
  15. yea i agree on him being able to perform way better without an injury. especially considering its most likely his leg he had surgery previous offseason thats been keepin him down. u cant perform more then 70-80% at best with that type of injury. more mobility to get into positions will make a huge difference.
  16. we need a 3rd C, someone like Backlund in calgary....more then a RD id say even if both would be needed. id like a bigger type of D coz we already have the smaller skilled ones.
  17. Well, good for Chicago. a team whos former stars has stayed during their rebuild years and reached bottom for some years. they had the luck to score big and win a mcdavid/crosby level type of player. the franchise certainly needs it. And THANK GOD ITS OVER WITH THE 3% CHANCE of getting bedard...omfg that feels so good to just let go of. Now its more on whats left since imo the top 5-8 players should be decent enough NHL class but i dont think its much more then that untill they develop into something 2-4 years from now. in all Honesty i was hopin for something Fantilli-ish but i think we cant count on anything better then a 3-5 years from now potential type of player......unless ofc we get really lucky. Michkov i dont care about since hes not available untill 3 seasons from the end of this one and is highly uncertain with how things in russia will turn out since the whole country is taking steps back to the old soviet union days, sort of like a "maybe" he will be available in 3 years....bleh. still excited to see how the off-season pans out and what moves will be done ahead of the draft and free-agency.
  18. I cant help but to root for the kraken....underdog for sure, but they have such solid D-men and a set of decent forwards. Our forwards are however a lot better then theirs so it feels a bit like we should be....a bit strange maybe, since they dont have any D thats all-star material...but they are solid in the backend.
  19. if i get to choose id want a Fantilli type of player.....not sure we can get that with our pick. on the D i just remember Sandin-Pelikka from the WJC...he was speedy and good with the puck but no heavyweight.
  20. Åman is young and talented. he was a great shutdown player in the swedish national team and should be that for nucks also.....hes good at it and a really strong skater. loads of potential for someone like him on our team id say. Åman and joshua has been bright spots this season.
