  1. I don't think so. Lots of past mistakes that cannot be undone at this point . We have some elite core talent in their prime, or entering it. Regardless of our limps, wounds, scars, we go for it now.
  2. Easily, easily the worst D pairing per dollars spent in franchis history. I could of put any two forwards out there together and it would of looked the same. It was Keystone Cops when they paired up.
  3. I agree. Not a fan of Duchene's lazy game, but sheesh, he wasn't even close to OEL type trash.
  4. I wouldn't say awful, like Pouliot is awful. I do remember some defensive gafs but I find Juulsen can be steady if he keeps it simple.
  5. Yip. Nothing against Bear. He's a good Dman, just not what we need. Definitely need a more defensive, physical dman with those monies. Same for Dermott. I hope this is why neither was qualified, and if it is, and they aquire a big physical shutdown D or two, I will applaud management.
  6. So looks like management decided Juulsen over Burroughs?
  7. Probably. I'm guessing the Jets floated him out there with monies retained, but no takers. The hockey world is a small group, they would know.
  8. This is why Trotz was such a good coach. Buys out a couple floaters and boots them off the team. He won't put up with mediocrity.
  9. Some big buyouts this off season I wonder if GM"s have gotten word that with more money in the system next year that teams will be allowed one buyout, retroactive as well.
  10. Was always surprised when Corey Perry never ended up in Toronto. Seems like a good fit.
  11. This, a younger target please. I like Pesce as well but it would kill any depth we have to aquire him.
  12. Burroughs is already better than Foote. More physical, more reliable. Foote on a two way contract where he can get better in the minors maybe makes sense.
  13. Foote wasn't that great in Kelowna. Nepotism starts at youth level and 100 percent continues through drafting and the pro ranks. Seen in, lived it. No way Foote should of gone in the first round. Even Ronning was a reach and probably never even drafted if not for his name. Gauranteed both these players would of gone later if they had different last names. Nah, seen too much to think otherwise.
  14. I as well. Real postive reviews on this young man
  15. Nepotism is a real thing my friend. Been in youth hockey for 15 years. It carries right through to the pros.
