  1. You know a name is difficult to spell when a robot like @-Vintage Canuck- spells it wrong.
  2. I don't think Hart is gonna be traded. I think the price is just gonna be way too high for teams to pull the trigger.
  3. Nah they'd never do that. Imagine the pick happening at 3OA, all the photos, all the interviews, then 20min later... BOOM! TRADED. Can't see it happening that way.
  4. And a certain someone here was stating as a fact that CLB was gonna be going into rebuild mode lmao. Same guy said Boston was gonna be rebuilding last off season Clearly CLB could be a destination for Miller after all. Kent Johnson would be a fine addition as a 2C.
  5. Exactly. I just wouldn't go around stating that teams should never sign bridge deals. That's way too narrow minded. I'm glad the Canucks signed Boeser to a bridge deal. I couldn't imagine how bad it'd be on here if Boeser had signed a $7.8M x 8 deal that now enters a period of NMC/NTCs. That'd be brutal.
  6. He never had Seider that high on his list. He's pretty good in terms of his rankings though, but perhaps better with forwards than with defencemen? https://www.tsn.ca/craig-s-list-final-rankings-1.1317702
  7. I don't disagree with that at all. It's just when someone says NEVER sign a bridge deal, that's going a bit too far with it.
  8. Thanks for proving my point. Boeser would have made top dollars if it wasn't a bridge deal. If we went with an 8 year deal that bought UFA years with NMCs at the end of it, you can bet your bottom dollar that it would have been at LEAST $7.5M over 8 years. Considering how people thought he'd be a 40 goal scorer I wouldn't be surprised if it pushed $8M AAV. Imagine being locked into Boeser for another 4 years at this moment at $8M AAV?
  9. Yup, sure would look great right now with Brock Boeser locked in at $7.5M for another 4 years instead of that bridge deal after his ELC. Pretty sure the Capitals are glad they didn't lock their 1st round 13OA star Jakub Vrana into an 8 year deal worth $7M+ AAV right after his ELC either. Bottomline, NEVER signing your star prospects to a bridge deal is a pretty bold statement. It's always gonna be a gamble.
  10. I think that's the going principle across the league. In general, I think $5M for 50pts, $6M for 60pts, $7M for 70pts, $8M for 80pts, $9M for 90pts, $10M+ for 100pts+.
  11. Similar numbers to Boeser in his early years.... we know how that story goes.
  12. When you break it down like that, you realize quickly that the Canucks are gonna get a really good prospect from this draft. Exciting time!
  13. Huh? Are you referring to me as the "OP"? I don't mention Bear at all in my original post.
  14. I guess they figure there's gonna be other teams interested in him, so by making this move, they can spend the month negotiating with him and hopefully lock him into a deal before free agency.
  15. Yeah, I think Sale is underrated in this draft class. I see him as a bonafide top line winger in his prime. I think he'll be available when the Canucks pick.
  16. This is so stupid... are we just throwing stupid proposals at the wall to see if something sticks? Ok, I'll bite... To TBL: Tanner Jeannot To NAS: Cal Foote 1st Round Pick 2nd Round Pick 3rd Round Pick 4th Round Pick 5th Round Pick HAHAHAHAHA, this would never happen, but could you imagine how stupid it would be?!?! LOL!1!!1!!!

  18. Ah Feuk... Whynot. It's just like playing Roulette afterall, or just Huckins darts on a board. Alternatively, we could just sign UFAs, it would just Costmar. Anyways, that's McCue to head out. Gotta grab some Grubbe and do some Landry. Cya later Holmes.
  19. I think we run with Demko and Silovs as a pair. Demko playing 50 to 55 games Silovs playing 25 to 30 games (if he can handle that) If Silovs is the real deal, we will have the strongest goalie tandem in the NHL, and without a doubt a playoff berth.
  20. I'm not sure you understand the mechanics of LTIR....
