  1. Ordered dinner at my fav local small restaurant for P/U. Tipped 25% in appreciation.
  2. It may have. Though if the RCMP used the tools that the firearms act provided he should have had his firearms confiscated long before what happened. No different than the Nova Scotia shooter. There were multiple red flags that could have prevented this shooting. The ban would not have stopped him. Besides the point. Stricter border control and harsher sentences for illegal use of a firearm should be the focus. Not people like myself going to the range to fire off a few rounds. Like always though, Government goes after low hanging fruit. Time will tell. Lets see if criminals choose to turn in their "prohibited" weapons to combat another failed Government project, the "drug" trade. Perhaps they could legalize drugs like marijuana. We all know how that made illegal marijuana disappear...
  3. I was reading a comment earlier online about someone saying the ban should have happened years ago. How it would have prevented the shooting in Nova Scotia. I told him that the firearms used were obtained illegally, mostly from the USA. He still said this legislation would have prevented it. That's the logic of many who are anit gun. This will do very little to prevent shootings when we have the USA below us with the worlds longest unprotected border.
  4. Strange. There's a lot more Trump supporters in Iran than I thought.
  5. Some are mentally ill. With the COVID-19 situation it will push some over the edge. Expect more of this the longer people are cooped up.
  6. Not necessarily here. Though I've read many comments online blaming anyone who went out over Easter. Now also saying that movement needs to be restricted further because of some travelling over the Easter weekend. Cases back down today. Here's the thing. People need to get out and do things. As long as they practise physical distancing and such, people need to stop persecuting them for it. Long story short, I lost a long time friend because I went for a drive over the Easter weekend. Didn't leave my car just went for a drive. Mentioned it on Facebook. I was apparently selfish and risking lives. There will always be those that are stupid and not practise common sense. That shouldn't ruin it for the rest that just need to get out. The real long term damage from COVID-19 will be everyone's mental health. Had to lay off another person today because they couldn't handle working. Had a meltdown because some workers weren't 2 meters apart while talking. Yet still didn't see a problem with ordering skip the dishes and meeting him outside to take his order from the drivers hands. Strange times.
  7. Or the fact they have opened up testing to anyone. Or the Mission prison increase. Or the poultry plant increase. Though I guess we can blame it all on the Easter weekend which was almost 2 weeks ago. Besides the most important stats are the ones in Hospitals, which has dropped and those who have recovered, which have increased.
  8. It amazes me how some people get caught up in the fear mongering. My buddy was in tears the other day at work because customers weren't social distancing in our parking lot. Considering our counter is closed and we only do phone in orders he was really freaking out over nothing. One of the best moves I did was to delete Facebook. Far too many people losing their minds. We all need to go forward with our lives. Practice the social distancing but do not get caught up in the breaking news crap. Yes, people will die, but that is no reason to curl up into a ball. The mental health damage from COVID-19 will be much more long lasting than the virus, especially when the bankruptcy's and foreclosures pile up.
  9. Watching the original Jumanji. Never noticed Kirsten Dunst had a tongue ring until now.

  10. HOLY F! I read about a couple but that's insane. Though not totally expected. The WWE must be losing hard financially. Wrestlemania must have been a massive loss. I bet this is only the start. I'm sure AEW isn't doing all that much better financially.
  11. No, just that polls are mostly bull$&!# and easily manipulated. Though. Ford does appear to be a man of the people through this.
  12. So do as I say not as I do. Got it. No worries though, he probably took all the precautions. You can't even reason with some. I have friends that are having meltdowns because people are leaving the house. I went for a drive the other day. One friend flipped out saying I was selfish and was risking peoples lives. Apparently we are no longer friends. The fear mongering is real.
  13. Oh man. I just love the hypocrisy in all of this. People head to the cottage in BC on Vancouver Island and people freak the F out. Trudeau basically does the same and the same people defend him.
  14. So the best the Democrats have been able to come up with recently is crooked Hillary and Creepy Joe. Easy to see why Trump will win a 2nd term.
  15. Still going to work. Essential tier 2. Though work is slowing. Basically been told I'll one of the final layoffs before the doors are forced to close unless its an emergency situation. Then I will be one of those with an emergency phone. I feel fortunate to still be earning a paycheck, though I will likely see a massive pay cut next year as I make a large sum of what I make from profit sharing.
  16. Just imagine if Countries relied on themselves instead of the world dependency we have created over the past 100 years or so? Perhaps its time to revisit open borders as its clear that restricting travel would have prevented this world wide spread.
  17. Meh. I have 4 concerts currently postponed. No refund until they're cancelled. Those are the rules.
  18. The area I live in is full of old ranchers. Slowly they are being bought up, then demolished soon after. The majority of the massive houses going in run around 8 bedroom and 8 bath. You can look them up on BC Assessment.
  19. Wholesale supply to the construction industry. Who knows, may have supplied your company with material. Layoffs starting in the next few days. Already been told those who want to be laid off because of the virus will be.
  20. What level of essential service? I have been labelled as essential service but I still have the option of refusing work.
  21. It all depends on what level of essential service you are from my understanding. Can you not say no saying you do not feel the work is safe?
