    Can anyone explain why Seattle gets the 3rd spot in the draft lottery?

      They can give you $650 million reasons.  Historically though, expansion teams usually get the top spot automatically.  Vancouver didn't only because of that stupid wheel.

      Only 650 million reasons, or 150 million more than Vegas. Vegas had 13th pick in Round 1 of the 2017 draft but third pick in each subsequent round. Only difference is that Seattle is guaranteed third overall, and can't move up.
