Top 50 Most Legendary Fighters to Lace Up for the Canucks
Standing_Tall#37 replied to Kevin Biestra's topic in Canucks Talk
I thought Tony Twist was the hardest puncher in league history? He notoriously would split helmets when he hit them. I liked Scotty Walker for his stand and deliver style that I loved doing myself in Jrs. Brad May was also fun to watch. Ryp and Bieksa were my favs to watch of the last generation of somewhat real fighters that the nhl will ever have. Curt Fraser was before my time, but a guy I heard had big paddles of hands was Brad Gassoff. -
Top 50 Most Legendary Fighters to Lace Up for the Canucks

To me no one on this list screams Canuck more than Odjick, but the best legit heavyweight fights I saw coming from a heavyweight in a Canucks uniform was Brashear.... taking on the Laraques, Proberts and Grimsons of the league. -

Look at the vast size of things. Mathematically, I’d say it’s impossible for intelligent life to not be out there somewhere. That being said, you look at the nearest 50 solar systems towards us, they’re within 16 light years to us. Which is still a crazy amount of distance and it would take a crazy amount of coincidence for one of them to contain life that is capable of advanced space travel. The nearest galaxy to us is what, 2.5MILLION light years away? Another issue of chance, is that 2 of these civilizations of advanced beings would have to exist at the same time in the universe. In reality, I’d have to say that the chance of two advanced civilizations ever interacting with eachother in any form is minimal like .00000000000000000001% of a chance. But who knows maybe there’s other dimensions that we can’t even comprehend exist (I know... I’m channeling my inner Rick & Morty). That being said, I would think this is some kind of advanced earth technology that maybe 70 years from now will be commonly known amongst the general population . -
No Leader ever has been. When the war of independence was won, Washington actually relinquished his position of commander in chief to go home to farm. Many of the founding fathers however would not sign the constitution until Washington agreed to be either King or the President. He chose president as America was itself based on the idea of the people being in control. All leaders today globally are scum today. It’s a requirement of the job.

You don’t honestly think that’s the same America that the founding fathers created, do you? America has died twice since then once when people accepted what happened to Lincoln and again when people accepted what happened to Kennedy.

You know what’s weird I kept hearing yesterday morning about how guns kill people. So I put my .308 on the front porch in a chair with 6 bullets sitting with it. The mailman dropped off some mail, the garbage man picked up the garbage, the papergirl delivered the paper, not a single shot fired. Probably 3 dozen people stopped at the stop sign adjacent to my porch. Not a single person was shot at or had a gun-related injury. It’s almost as if guns can’t kill people???? I’m going to my silverware drawer next as I hear that spoons make people Fat, I’ll let you know what happens there.

So was the unequivocal rights to spending bill he tried sneaking in that would have given him unlimited power until the end of 2021. Don’t get me wrong here either the shooting was tragedy, but I think the bigger problem that needs to be solved is how in the Hell did this guy acquire weapons he wasn’t allowed to have. The solution even if it could be passed is not to punish law abiding citizens. But to get better at policing people who are not legally allowed to possess firearms.

I think this year is gonna be the year that keeps on giving . I’ve never seen rivers and creeks rise this fast this early on as I have today. Lots of snow in the mountains still so in addition to the Covid I think there will be lots of flooding in BC too.
-
Lol ok then. You don’t have a &^@#ing clue what you’re talking about or the area in question so you should really just drop it. I don’t know anyone who goes to Quesnel lake anymore. It used to be where everyone goes until that tailings pond breach happened and sent a bunch of dead fish floating to the top. But maybe I’ll listen to you instead of locals and people who visited it multiple times/year. Because you’re the &^@#ing expert on everything and everywhere that you’ve never been.

That’s not completely accurate. While I had always felt Gillis overpaid in paying a 1st for a 4/5 defenseman(wouldn’t matter anyways Gillis Sucked at drafting).... remember that the Canucks were extremely leery of signing Mitchell because he started having Concussion issues(not unlike Ferland lately). Fortunately Willie recovered eventually and had a successful finish to his career. I think it was the Canucks that walked away from Willie and didn’t even offer him a contract if I recall.

I’d heard about both the U and the W. I kind of think that if the Covid isn’t under control by May 1st and isolation continues or a tighter lockdown is forced.... that’s when we’ll see the real drop. -
You mean the guy attacking the woman?
