Great quote and a very appropriate comparison. The missing ingredients for Jake are confidence and offensively gifted linemates. I am rooting for Jake in a big way, not as much Goldy, though I most certainly want to see him put it all together.

I had been very excited with Stetcher earlier in his career but fealt he took a step back last year and was I became unsure how he projected long term on this blueline. BUT Stetcher’s shown me with his play this season that he may be one of the long term pieces to the puzzle that GMJB is building.

I have been impressed with the energy that Joseph in tampa and Greenway in Minny, provide. Hopefully BigMac will add a bit of grit to the mix here pretty soon.

Looked like the elbow was high and perhaps to the back of the head or neck area. Hard to tell with the camera angle though. Dahlen could pick Stetcher's brain on how to avoid thugs like Lucic that are bearing down.

What Jets this kid has though, eh? Couple more off seasons with Mr. stickhandling guru and d-men better watch out. I have to admit, there were moments when I started looking at the stats of those you-know-who’s that we could have picked and wondered, but I liked the Virtanen pick at the time and I like him now.

If Eric Karlson had scored that late game winning goal from that impossible angle (like he did a few years ago in the playoffs against Lundqvist) all we would hear about is his creativity and deadly accurate shot.

This guy appears to be a tremendous addition and checks many boxes of what this team needed. I'm not sure he will be a long term piece here in the top 6 (highly unlikely) but a great placeholder in the interim. And acquired without taking anything away from the NHL roster. Well done pro scouts for identifying a realistic target and GMJB for getting it done!
