Hope y'all are ready for my $.02 because here it comes.
These the analysis of these situations are going to vary from player to player. That being said, this is a guy who, just signed a fat contract, was touted to be captain material last year, and is underperforming. Out of all people to criticize too, Delia played a great game, and probably bailed Miller out 5 times. If anyone should be snapping it's him.
Lots of red flags here compared to if someone like Pearson did this.
It's so like this franchise to choose this guy over Bo, who's a better leader, better defensively, better offensively (this year), home grown, and plays a premium position. Thank our GM and his puppet master for this. Very like our franchise to do this. Shades of the Neely trade here. With this franchise making these mistakes over and over again after complete head office, player, scouting and training staff overhauls, one has to think it will remain the same until it's sold.
Final thoughts
I was terrified of losing Miller for nothing in the offseason, a better move would have been to take scraps for him and take Sean Monahans contract and the first that came with it.
Hindsight is 20/20 though right.
FLAME AWAY.
