In my absolute honest opinion, I think we could be a real front runner for Tavares. I’m not saying we’ll for sure sign him, but, we can offer him things most teams can’t.

@Chip Kelly sure we haven't landed one for a while but Vancouver makes as much or more sense as Montreal or even the NYI. Its not entirely out of the question, with the cap going up like I said the guy could make something like 14-15 mil in bonuses similar to McDavids contract (https://www.capfriendly.com/players/connor-mcdavid). But I do agree its very unlikely.
