I agree. I think he's made the statement that he's not willing to sign wingers (or even Tanev's) for term.

I don't see many teams giving Duclair term. You gotta earn stability and he hasn't.

There are definitely benefits to a competitive environment, but with the AHL season in serious doubt, and the NHL kinda iffy I'd prefer to give Hogs a real chance at cracking the line up out of camp by only having to beat out Leivo and Rooster. I know Green prefers Leivo on his strong side, but like Jake, I think Leivo is better on his off wing.

On that note, has the NHL made any statements regarding expanded roster sizes of NHL teams if the AHL can't go? I doubt any GM would be opposed.

I haven't heard or seen anything, it'd be an interesting proposition though. And I haven't heard anything, though it'd be an interesting proposition. 

I'm hoping they just bring back Leivo, scoring wasn't really a huge issue for us and our young guys should be that much better. I'm not sure where Hoglander would fit as a LW though? He's likely not beating out Miller or Pearson, and I'm not sure they're gonna put him in for Roussel or Motte either. If Rouss is moved to dump cap, maybe? Makes you wonder what our third line would look like. Hoglander, Sutter, Leivo? Hoglander, Sutter, Virtanen? Would you risk swapping Sutter with Gaudette and lose that defensive insulation? 

Tough choices. I hope they bring Leivo back, seems like the practical solution as far as dollars and term go.
