I take traditional stats (including team), advanced stats and the old eye test. Combine those and you can usually get a better understanding than just relying on one of those.
There is absolutely no reason to take anything JFresh says seriously. Teams have scouting departments for a reason. The game is played on the ice, not on a spreadsheet, no matter how much unqualified dweebs like this clown wish otherwise.
