I turned on the game as the second half was starting

It was totally looking like Wolfsburg's game too. And Neuer's suicide play in the first half should have ended that half with a 2-0 score in favour of Wolfsburg.

Pep makes several subs, one of which was Lewandowski in, and the guy just tears Wolfsburg apart. I think all 5 of his goals on first touch. He's had like 3 more beautiful chances to score too.. could have easily been 8 goals for him.

And that's game. Who would have predicted this second half?

And wow.. Darmstadt and Ingolstadt with impressive starts. Just promoted too.

I put the game on and was looking at the PC, and kept hearing the commentator say 'Lewandowski'. I'm sat there thinking 'alright, he's not THAT good', then turned to see his hat-trick goal on replay

Stunning performance, poor Dante, he has been waiting for that since he left.

Only way I see city not winning the league is if they go deep in champion league, fa cup, and capital one cup.

On an another note, I saw an article today stating that England might lose a champion league spot if Serie A teams go deep. Juventus going to the final made the point system a lot closer then it has been. If England loses a spot in champion league it's going to the make the league more interesting imo. Teams like Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, Everton will have a big challenge to get top3 and need a big team having a Moyes year like utd suffered a few years back.

Lewandowski for me is a top5 striker/winger in the world.

Messi

Ronaldo

Aguero

Neymar

Lewandowski

Suarez is a very close 6th place imo. Just feel having Messi and Neymar beside him helps a lot while Lewandowski deals with a Riberly and an older Robben IF they are healthy.

I'm sure Robben will be back very soon but I don't expect anything this season from Ribery. Anything would be unexpected at this point.

What has helped beyond measure is the signing of Costa and Vidal.. more so Costa. Lewandowki had amazing feeds from Müller and Costa. I may sound like I'm all over Costa's nuts but I don't care.. that guy is EXACTLY what this team needed. Wolfsburg changed their whole defensive scheme to Costa and Lewandowki made them pay.

And Lewa would have had 6 goals.. he was like 9 yards in front of the goal and has anywhere to shoot. Instead he makes a very considerate pass to Müller who came inches from scoring.

Gabriel ban rescinded and Diego Costa handed a 3 game ban. Still upset about the loss though, beating Chelsea would have provided a great boost of confidence. Oh well.

As a neutral, I'm now waiting for Mike Dean's permanent demotion to the Football League. He's no longer capable of officiating at the top level.
