jaskaran.heer
Dont you guys think that if edler can play as he was earlier in the season, with the d-parings being Hamhuis Bieksa Edler Salo Tanev Ballard we got a solid defensive core?

RyanKeslord17
Actually, Edler should play with the Dman who has been playing with poise, calmness and has been great all series. Chris Tanev. Bad to say, but our rookie Dman has been our best Defencemen. Hamhuis-Bieksa Edler-Tanev Ballard-Salo
Ugli Fruit
Give Ballard more ice time. Actually, give Ballard-Tanev the 2nd pairing spots. They haven't been making people cringe as much as Edler or even Hamhuis.
oldnews
great d core. a couple uncharacteristic mistakes recently, but not about to forget how good these guys are.
etsen3
It doesn't matter how skilled they are, it matters how they're playing at this present moment. Skill will only matter once they sharpen up and start playing to their potential.
Canuck Surfer
Tanev was good, with less responsibility in game 2. Did you watch game 1? Big guys Penner & Brown had a field day pressuring small Tanev, who was lucky Lou mad big saves after bad giveaway's in the first period alone. Admittedly, Edler is still having trouble with that pressure; but matching Bieksa & Hamhuis again relieved most of the onslaught we experienced. We outplayed LA this game, just did not convert. Edlerberry
The difference is Mitchell on their team, and not ours. He single handedly has shut down a huge percentage of our zone play, and at 700k cheaper than Ballard, he was definitely what the Canucks D needed to stabilize. Imagine Mitchell with Tanev, with the top 4 remaining the same. -1 Mitchell on Canucks +1 Mitchell on Kings Its a two Willie sway!

Canucksbiggestfan
The D line-up should be: Hamhuis-Edler Ballard-Salo Bieksa-Alberts I like Tanev and his play has been pretty good, but Alberts brings in toughness and is big. He can contain guys like Penner and Brown with his physical style.

Guest
The D pairs are fine. That isn't our problem. It's special teams that are just killing us.
