:D
I've been hearing a sampling of this style of music and I want to explore further. Where should I begin? I'm talking Skrillex, Deadmau5, etc as well as some of the more underground stuff.

Alex the Great
If you're trying to find other good Dubstep artists, I would strongly suggest you stay away from Deadmau5. His Dubstep his bad, his old roots of Techno are great. Look at these artists : Skrillex Flux Pavilion Chrispy Foreign Beggars Zomboy
Scoobydooby
Check out Datsik, Black Sun Empire, Bassnectar and you will get the picture. Rottun records has a lot of great grimey dubstep. I'm more a Drum & Bass guy myself, but there has been a wealth of great dubstep made in the last couple years.. Oh man I can't wait for Shambhala!!! :D

elvis15
I think the more technical definition is a drop in tempo, where the song goes from fairly high paced down to a slow beat instantaneously. It's clearly heavily electronic, but I bet you figured that out.
Demo250
I listen to almost every genre, it took me forever to get into dubstep though. With that being said, I prefer the underground artists when I do listen to it. Might as well try electro as well... and drumstep. (Which you will probably think sounds basically like dubstep) You'll notice a lot of MonstercatMedia videos I linked... you might as well just check out their entire channel if you like anything I linked. GLASSJAW
dubstep is absolute garbage but there's a lot of great artists that take the fundamentals of early UK dubstep and make legitimately good music that doesn't fall under the confines of the super shallow genre http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlEkvbRmfrA
