hockey21383
Ok so here is what I have to propose! I think its somewhat realistic. Before draft..... To VAN: Blake Wheeler To WPG: David Booth, MA Gragnani, 1st round pick 2012, 4th round pick 2012 Winnipeg gets a top 6 forward back and a potential top 4 D-man or powerplay defensemen in MAG and get our 1st round pick and our 4th, for who I think is the best possible winger for Kesler. Wheeler is 6'5 214 pounds, the guy has wheels for a guy his size. Ive seen a couple Jets games on TV, and I always seem to notice him. To VAN: Toronto 1st round pick 2012 (5th), Jesse Blacker To TOR: Roberto Luongo, 3rd round pick 2012 Leafs get a number one tendy they need, and we dump some cap and get their 5th overall pick and good prospect on the blue-line. Pretty simple, not much needs to be said. To VAN: Conditional 2nd round pick 2013, 6th round pick 2012 To NYI: Keith Ballard, Mason Raymonds rights Conditional 2nd rounder is all based on how many points Ballard gets. If he get more than 25 its a NYI 2nd, if he gets less its a NYI 3rd. Ballard can get atleast 30 points a season as shown in the past, but just hasnt gotten the chance in VAN. NYI also need some depth on defense. Mason Raymond has the potential to flourish in NY's top 6 as it isnt very deep. Nonetheless they get a solid top 9 forward. Buyout Manny Malhotra We can afford his 800k ish cap as the cap is going to go up to around 69mill Draft Day: Draft, Morgan Rielly or Filip Forsberg Re-Sign Cory Schnieder 4 year/ 3.5mil per Dale Weise 1yr/ 700k Steve Pinizzotto 1yr/ 650k Victor Oreskovich 1yr 650k (send to the minors) July 1st Signings Zach Parise 6 yrs/ 6.5m per Justin Schultz 2 yrs/ 1.25m per Jason Garrison 4 yrs/ 3.5m per 2012-2013 Canucks Roster FORWARDS Daniel Sedin ($6.100m) / Henrik Sedin ($6.100m) / Alexandre Burrows ($2.000m) Zach Parise ($6.500m) / Ryan Kesler ($5.000m) / Blake Wheeler ($2.550m) Chris Higgins ($1.900m) / Jordan Schroeder ($1.025m) / Zack Kassian ($0.870m) Steve Pinizzotto ($0.650m) / Maxim Lapierre ($1.000m) / Jannik Hansen ($1.350m) Dale Weise ($0.700m) DEFENSEMEN Kevin Bieksa ($4.600m) / Dan Hamhuis ($4.500m) Jason Garrison ($3.500m) / Alexander Edler ($3.250m) Justin Schultz ($1.250m) / Chris Tanev ($0.900m) Andrew Alberts ($1.225m) / GOALTENDERS Cory Schneider ($3.500m) Eddie Lack ($0.900m) BUYOUTS Manny Malhotra ($0.833m) ------ CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter) (these totals are compiled without the bonus cushion) SALARY CAP: $64,300,000; CAP PAYROLL: $60,203,333; BONUSES: $125,000 CAP SPACE (22-man roster): $4,096,
Master Mind
Over payment for Wheeler IMO. And you say this proposal is realistic, yet you plan on signing Parise. Sorry, but he'll be staying in NJ.

Zoolander
Everything here is possible except the Parise signing I think. You can't really over-pay for a guy that has as much potential as Wheeler does. He'll be a star in a few years.
Spitfire_Spiky
Huge overpayment for Wheeler first off. Secondly i highly doubt if we do try to sign Parise he won't be the highest paid player on the team so in hindsight he probably won't be coming here. I like the TO and NYI trades but we'll just hafta wait and see what MG has in store.

susraiders
I would rather have Booth than Wheeler, but that's just my opinion.
Armada
Massive overpayment. Don't want him for that much. David Booth + MA Gragnani. Would simply be enough.
Ṣpiderman
Even if Parise doesn't make the finals, I don't see why he would move to another team. NJ went farther than the Canucks this season and there's no reason for him to move. He's the captain of that team. His team has constantly defended him from the media and even Kovalchuk looks up to him.

nd84
Wheeler would be a great acquisition but I think we are overpaying a bit with that trade I don't think theres a good chance Parise comes here too. And for your draft pick. I think with #5 we can get Dumba or maybe even Murray if he isn't chosen yet (trade to move up?) Some good ideas though
da.moose
Jets say NO WAY. Why would we trade a cornerstone of our franchise unless we are getting a franchise player back our way? Booth is not a franchise player. Wheeler was the best player outside of Pavelec for Winnipeg this past season.
Dogbyte
Wheeler was their player of the year. Don't see the Peg giving him up but the propsal has some merit at least. I like the ideas and Wheeler would be great for us to have. Definitely fills a need for us.
