Getting rid of this one guy doesn't get rid of the heart of the problem which is why did she become a prostitute in the first place. There is no magic formula. To assume this girl had "bad" parents because she decided to become a prostitute, is to demonstrate a lack of understanding of how much control parents actually have of the lives of young adults. A parent can only do so much. After that it's up to the child. The saddest thing about this whole story is that these two people have destroyed their own lives in an effort to protect their daughter. (As much as pimps are scum of the earth, a young prostitute is probably safer with a non-abusive pimp - as much as that is possible - rather than going it alone.) I somehow question how this is going to help her. Funny how the parents considered kidnapping the pimp until his "head got right", rather than their daughter. The only situation where this makes sense is if the daughter said she wanted to leave prostitution, but her pimp threatened to kill her if she did. But nothing like that is inferred by the story. Regardless if humanity thinks it is right or wrong this is a fact of life . Get rid of all this tolerance crap and start handing out sever punishment for violent and sexual crimes and actions. I am not saying chop off a hand for stealing or stoning your spouse for cheating ! I am saying chemical castration for repeat pedophiles, death penalty for cold blooded murder, if you hold and torture you get tortured.
