Rey
Brassard would be a great third line center, which we need. Not sure if I would want Mason at this point though. His confidence might be shot, and he comes with a 2.9 million dollar cap hit.
bd71
For those saying Dubinsky is too expensive to be a third line centre: 1. Someone needs to play second line centre while Kes is injured. 2. Dubinsky is versatile, can play the wing. 3. The Penguins won a Stanley Cup with J. Staal as their 3rd line centre, and he was a 4 mil cap hit. bd71
5 mil left after acquiring dubinsky and parise. Traded loungo straight up for shenn, abviously we could get more. Kept malhotra and alberts just to see how cap would look with them on the team. D is sturdy, but could use some help. Lack probably needs more time in the ahl. We could still make some moves to upgrade the D. Even if we cant get Parise we could get other players from UFA for his spot. Thats with a cap of 70 mil but it fits, barely. If we remove malhotra and alberts that could still fit in a 68 mil cap hit we could still sign somebody for some defensive depth or get another top 6 dman

sampy
He averages 1:15 per game. 1:46 per game on the PP. Only 36 blocked shots. If MG could, he should really push for Boyle. The guy's a beast.
cripplereh
I think he'd make a great third line center as Manny has not played well at all since his eye injury.I'd replace Manny for sure and we'd be a bit better of a team.
bleednucksblue
Boyle? The guy that ran and suckered Karlsson and then turtled when the Sens wanted him to answer. No thx. Plays exactly the same way as Taylor Pyatt.

sampy
Your entire post contradicted itself. When would you ever see Taylor Pyatt take a run at a guy and sucker punch someone? LMAO!! I don't want Boyle either and the Rags aren't trading him, but let's not get confused on how he plays.
Boudrias
4.2 for a third line center doesn't make sense. If anything they would move Kesler to the wing and have Booth-Dubinsky-Kesler as the second line, or even Dubinsky-Kesler-Booth. I would much rather have Malhotra hopefully regain his 30 point defensive specialist form, then pay Dubinsky second line money to be a 40 point 3rd line center. That's just dumb. Conscience
The cap hit isn't that bad. If we send Raymond the other way plus picks/prospects that is 2.11 gone. Dubinsky takes the second line position untill January-letting kesler rest. Who else do you have as second line centre for 3 months? Once Kesler comes back, Dubinsky slots down and centers a great 3rd line, that will take difficult minutes away from Kesler . Also 4.2 isn't that bad as he is an upgrade over Gaustud, and how much do you see Guastud getting signed for on the market.
Millerdraft
Well, Dubinsky & Hansen have played an entire season on a line together in 2005-2006... This would hopefully create a third layer of offensive support behind the twins. Sedin - Sedin - Burrows Booth - Kesler - PA Parenteau Higgins - Dubinsky - Hansen That third line would be just an absolute counter attacking nightmare for other teams to deal with. GHL
i would be down for dubinsky and he would a be a great 3rd line center but 4.2m for a 3rd line center is pricey i dont know about this one....id haft to see the proposed deal

TOMapleLaughs
I certainly hope Manny is able to play better than he did last season. But with that eye injury it's just going to be tough to receive passes etc. Damn. TOML
