FlyLow_
Looks like he likes to hit, never a bad thing. Gillis likes his overaged kids committed to good schools that's for sure.
cs2016
US high school league quality must be pretty low as this guy scored 39 goals and 74 points in 28 games with Phillips Exeter!
WeWantTheCup33
How in the world, does someone get 74 points in 28 games?

Guest gumballthechewy
http://www.collegehockeyprospective.com/2012/02/09/matt-beattie-chp-exclusive-profile/ 6'3", 175 lbs - another big player. Solid.
Canuck Surfer
He's coming out of high school! 175lbs means he's in shape for a high schooler, not a weigt room junkie nor a guy who eats burgersin the press box. Its fine. What was Bryan Allan whn he was 18? At 6'3" being 175lbs is not big or solid, unless there's something I'm missing here. I mean Raymond weighs more than he does... Canada Hockey Place
No one drafted Anton Slepyshev? http://thehockeywriters.com/anton-slepyshev-the-next-ones-nhl-2012-draft-prospect-profile/ Playing in the KHL and being compared to Semin doesn't help I guess. bigpush
I just noticed that Higgins is a Yale grad as well. Wonder if Higgins is one of the guys the Yale coaches use as and example of success.
22sedins33
I'd have taken Dane Fox... don't know why no one did. The kid's quality. I also wish we had a 3rd round pick so we could've taken Athanasiou. One of the fastest, fittest skaters in the draft and has sick hands? Steal of a 4th rounder. Droj
One analyst called him the "forward version of Mcnally for the Canucks." He has the upside, and potential to be something special. He is still a long ways away, and I think the first year in university will be a strong wake-up call for him.

DollarAndADream
I feel like Gillis is just drafting a bunch of big guys and hoping one works. Not necessarily a bad thing.
