It's a joke. Why SA keeps playing vets when they are underperforming? Even two great career AHLers in Sterling and Haydar not playing well. There were SIX vets in the roster and all the threat went from Canucks prospects so why keeping vets playing? Where's Yann Sauve? Aren't anybody interested in stable d-man? Why not give Cannata any chanse to play? Wolves are pathetic this season. I had so great expectations with our farm team...

Arniel may be a good coach with a team full of veteran players, but he's a horrible developmental coach.

I don't think he embraces the teaching aspect of the game. He seems to like to just throw his veterans out there to do their thing. That's pretty much what he did with the Moose, which was made up of about 90% veterans. That's probably the reason why Grabner took so long to develop too.

We saw it in Columbus as well. None of his younger players really seemed to excel under him.

People say that AV is the same way, but at least he has a track record of players who have developed well under him.

What's Pat Quinn up to? The Canucks should pay him whatever he wants to coach this team for a season. He's a great developmental coach.

I hope we're talking about the Wolves here?

Quinn, by my memory was not a development guy; in fact the ultimate let his key talent and veterans run with it guy... I thought ultimately that was why he was run out of town. Being GM and coach, he loaded his team and never developed any young guys? And as WJC coach; well he had Hodgson and Eberle on his second line. The commentators kept commenting how that was the teachers pet line, cuz he kept throwing him out there in every situation. And Tavares's line in every offensive situation. Top players love playing for him, but that does not make him a development coach!

But he also almost always had a big physical guy and a play maker with Bure, same could be said for Courtnall, Ronning, Momesso which blended scoring, size, speed and play making. I like that concept a lot! But along those lines; you probably would never have the problem of Haydar, Ebbet, Sterling playing on one line?

Maybe their instructions in Chicago are to develop Schroeder, Kassian, Rodin as a potential two way 2knd line? AV plays a small first line as an offensive specialist line (although the Twins / Burr could hardly be accused of being perimeter guys) and a strong two way second line...

Edit: Actually, in reading my own post I like the idea of a Quinn return full stop. Great idea! :towel:

We can't find outlet passes.

We seem to have poor puck control.

We nearly always come off second best on the boards.

If we have a system, I can't see it.

Too many of our "good" players have little or no physical presence.

And when are we going to learn how to keep a lead or lose a goal right after we have equalised?

Much of the above is down to coaching imo.

I have to say it. i DON'T LIKE SHARING A TEAM.

If Gillis has been watching the Wolves games at all this season he should probably release Joslin from his contract as soon as the season starts going again. This guy has been horrid in both ends, can't justify an offensive defensemen that can't score or play in his own zone.

Sterling and Haydar can't even execute a 2 on 1. They didn't even get a shot.

And these are supposed to be their best players?

And why would Arniel put Joslin back in? The team played great defensively last game. And he split up the Archibald-Schroeder-Kassian line? WTF?
