ocnucksfan
I think we should be targeting a backup goalie, a RH depth defenseman, and 1-2 top 9 wingers. Backup: Thomas Greiss. Depth D-man: Ryan O'Byrne Winger 1: David Clarkson Winger 2: Eric Nystrom
RUPERTKBD
But how does that solve our number one problem, which is lack of scoring?

sauron's dad
NOT stalberg. doesnt really bring any new dynamic to the team. plug whose play is elevated because of his surroundings. Morrow is too old also.

Bruce Boudreau
I don't see Gillis doing anything much he is gonna hope the young players like Kassian and Jensen will step up to fill holes in the top six. The key question is who will be the third line center? They need a guy who can chip in offence is big and can shutdown the other teams top line to free up Kesler to focus on offence. Shawn Matthias would be a perfect fit if only Florida could be enticed to take Luongo by offering up Schroeder as part of the package. Problem is Luongo probably wants to play for a contender. Ghostdivision
I like clarkson but before this fan base is that sold on him, how many games have you seen him play? Devil fans who watch every game give a description similar to booth lately. Throws everything on net, low hockey IQ, not a legitimate top line winger, they are not comfortable with offering him more then 4.5 They also claimed he was not very physical anymore. Now I like clarkson when I seen him last year in playoffs, but flordia fans warned us what type of player booth was, and now everyone hates him and wants him gone. I also see flippula mentioned, again do your research talk to some wings fans about him, a lot wanted him gone this season and hoped he was traded at the deadline. It justs crazy when we do finally sign a player people want, then when they dont pan out, they ask what went wrong, when in reality we just have no idea what were getting. Sugar baby watermelon
How about Michael Ryder, he has been playing great hockey with Dallas and Montreal, play him on the 2nd line with Kesler.
Van bc
Here are some of the potential UFAs i wouldn't mind the Canucks signing. Trying to add speed and grit, which are obviously necessary in the playoffs. They are in no particular order. 1. Mike Ribeiro C- great playmaking centre. Would work well with Kesler on the wing. 2. Pascal Dupuis LW- gritty player who can score. Obviously playing with crosby helped his stats, but would slot in well for a top-9 role. 3. Ryane Clowe LW/RW- may have had a down year, but the guy is big and strong and would be a legitimate power-forward. Maybe a replacement for Mason Raymond? 4. David Clarkson RW- Big, strong, gritty, will fight. Guys got all the tools we need, plus he can pot in some goals. Wouldn't mind seeing him with the Sedins. 5. Viktor Stalberg LW- Yeah he's a Chicago player, but i like how he's got some wheels and uses them along with his big frame. 6. Raffi Torres LW- Do i need to say anything else? 7. Brenden Morrow LW/RW- The guy may be getting older, but if we can get him for a good price to play in the bottom 6. We have ourselves a player with heart and leadership. 8. Boyd Gordon C- a great 4th line centre. One of the best faceoff men in the league. 9. Clarke McArthur LW- Good speedy top9 player. Can forecheck, score and throw the body a bit. 10. Dustin Penner LW- May seem washed up and declining in stats every year. But i think a change in scenery could bring back some of that old scoring touch. His value is at his lowest and may be a steal for a former 30 goal scorer. http://www.capgeek.com/free-agents Who would be on your list?
