[Value of] Evgeni Malkin

Recommended Posts

Malkin to New Jersey is the best fit imo and they have the GM that can make such a trade but they're in the same division so it's unlikely.

Montreal is also a good destination for Malkin since they have one of the deeper prospect pools in the nhl.

Plekanec, Tinordi, Gorges and a 1st might be enough

I would love Kovy on our team, but if you look at New Jersey on capgeek they only have 2 top 6 forwards under contract in Kovy and Zajac. I can't see them trading for a d-man when they have a pretty solid d-core already with Larsson in the system as well.

Call me crazy but I dont want Malkin, hes injury prone, and streaky.

He comes with a huge price tag, comes with fleet risk, UFA risk, have you watched him play?

As dazzling and amazing as he can be he can be equally lazy and terrible especially in his own zone and the neutral zone.

When he gets frustrated he tried to do everything himself, forgets he even has team mates, is stuck in a tunnel vision state where he thinks he can do it all himself. Usually results in turnovers.

His skill set is as good as it get along with his speed and size, I just dont think he is what our team needs, in my opinion, I could be wrong though, he could be exactly what our team needs.

Higgins - Malkin - Booth

Hansen - Kesler - Raymond

Kassian - Lapierre - Jensen

Hamhuis - Bieksa

Garrison - Edler

Tanev - Corrado

Alberts
