marleau_12
WOw not even 20 games into regular season and already the rsh criticism. I don't know whats worse: hearing Kyprio's or MacLean rag on the Canucks or CDC.
Remy
Why do people make threads like these? This might just become the new "Burrows, do we really need him" thread this season

uber_pwnzor
Why the preseason basically means nothing: 2008 Detroit Lions preseason record: 4-0. 2008 Detroit Lions regular season record: 0-16. This should sum it up rather succinctly.
Moonshinefe
Meh, are they the same men they were 3 years ago? No. Are they still great players? Yes. I don't think the regression is that bad, but it's somewhat to be expected from players going into their 30s
-DLC-
Burr was great tonight. Rusty on the break away but he definitely still has his speed and his hands. Hes going to have a great season !!!! And he just seemed to be having fun again...on the bench he was relaxed, smiling. I feel the same...he will have a great season.... JeremyCuddles
"I'm sure glad kesler is going 110% right now. We really could use beast mode in pre season so he's hurt by mid season"- said CDC
higgyfan
The thing that made that thread legendary was that Clutch wasn't trolling. He made a really silly post that became epic the more Burrows did better and better. The guy that started this thread doesn't have egg on his face for being so far off the mark. He was deliberately off the mark. I'm not sure why that isn't obvious.

criticallycanuck
I agree with some of the OP. Kesler looks more determined (and healthy) than ever so far. He's the key to the season really. The Sedins look as they have for the last couple of seasons - only dominant on the PP. That won't change no matter who their linemates are. Burrows continues to do what he always has - working his tail off, but with a ridiculously low scoring chance conversion rate. That won't change either. Clonedanielsedin
The Sedins and Burrows are such an odd first line, but they are one of the best. Two skilled Swedish twins and a French Canadian with an iron will. Whatever works i guess.
winthecup
clutching, grabbing and interference is allowed to a certain degree by the refs now. When Henrik won his art ross and when Kesler got 40 goals, refs were calling everything.
sampy
I guess you didn't watch the Sedins at the worlds last spring. You can argue that it is lesser competiton but all the superstars that were on the Canadian squad didn't even come close to the domination clinic the Sedins put on. Henrik Kesler
The Sedins will be 75-90 point players for 4-5 more years because their play style relies on smarts and positioning, not speed, and because they are the best conditioned players on the team. Kesler may forever be broken after his injuries in the 2011 playoffs, but that doesn't mean he still can't score 25+ and post 50 points while taking shutdown duties. Burrows still has the wheels so I think he'll still remain an elite 5-on-5 scorer for 2-3 more years.
