We gotta bring a better game on Saturday vs the Oilers. Lu was great, & the PK was good, but its hard to find alot more positives beyond that. DownUndaCanuck Posted October 4, 2013 Share Posted October 4, 2013 PK and Luongo were the only positives out of this game. Everyone on defence was a joke except for Tanev who really stood up. Bieksa, Hamhuis, Garrison and Edler were all atrocious. Tortorella's got a lot of work to do with them. Higgins' give away basically lost us the game, and none of the forwards produced any offence. Stick-in-Rink Posted October 4, 2013 Share Posted October 4, 2013 This was an atrocious game by the defense for the most apart (Especially Eddie and Hamhuis), but the redeeming part of it was Lu and the PK. The Canucks are still learning the new system so a loss shouldn't be so surprising against a very good team. Hopefully Torts rips them a new one in the locker room and they're ready to go on Saturday. This was a pretty sloppy game overall, but we were in it for the most part. On to the Coilers. We again were just physically beaten down by these guys, big tough teams are our kryptonite, at least for now. Good PK, decent job by Luo. Sedins gotta stop getting knocked off the puck so easy and we need more out of Kesler and Higgins. One game, whatever, not going to lose sleep over just one game, it's one of 82. You know you're in for a long night when the Canucks get a bench minor for jumping a line change and the Sharks pull the same trick and get away with it. Bring on the Oilers! I mean, 1 shot on the PP with 4 attempts at one point? Weak, incredibly weak. Granted it's only one game but the problems from last season look to have carried over to this season.
