Raph
Shot blocking is good, but doing so with improper technique or in the wrong situation can be disastrous. Keeping shots to the outside and keeping players out of the crease is often better than shot blocking.
Plaguez
I've said it before and I'll say it again, you don't block shots when you have an elite goaltender. Brodeur goes nuts when guys try to block shots in front of him.

Frazzy Desjardins
Didnt booth break his ankle blocking a shot last year? Who was his coach? It happens people, regardless of systems, shot blocking is part of hockey. The whatever it takes to win mentality is a GOOD thing and is contagious. Relax. Canuck_Follower
Yeah Score messaged me to say that Burrows is out for a few weeks. So we're literally down to 3 top 6 forwards now. Might as well put Kesler with the Sedins and then have line 2 and 3 grind for the rest of the night. This team is in serious trouble...

warrchief
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=433477 The Vancouver Canucks will be without forward Alexandre Burrows for a couple of weeks according to head coach John Tortorella. The coach would not get into specifics about the injury to Burrows, but it is believed to be a foot injury picked up blocking a shot in the season opening, 4-1 loss to the San Jose Sharks. The 32-year-old forward played 18:34 for the Canucks in San Jose and finished with no points and a minus-1 rating.

Tangelos
blocking shots is essential. It shows that players are willing to do whatever it takes to win. I want to see more of this.
