Vancouver may now be a sophisticated city of soaring glass towers with sushi restaurants on every corner, but let's not forget there was a simpler time. A time when SeaBuses were orange, Science World wasn’t a world yet, and something called Expo 86 defined the city.

If you grew up in Vancouver in the ‘80s, this list is for you:

Were you a trendsetting hipster even as a child??? What tres cool things do you have to contribute? (Note my awesome one above.)

How did the hipster burn his tongue? He drank his coffee before it was cool.

But the only thing I found interesting was the Expo passports, since I'd forgotten about them.

That's concerning. Get well soon.

Thanks for your concern. So many flashing/too fast gifs though...

Hello flashbacks, or maybe it was a seizure from the gifs, LOL!

i'm gonna have to look and see if I still have my Expo 86 passport, and yeah. Bedrock City was cool!

Anyone else remember Tams Animal Farm that was out there as well?

I was going through my moms old stuff a few months ago and found our passport! Good times! And I don't remember the animal farm but I sure remember the water slides!!

This thread has reminded me of how I am old. Also that going to Flintstone Park was the best weekend adventure ever!

This thread reminds me of the cynicism of CDC.

"All these GIFs are giving me a headache," "wow this is from Buzzfeed/Huffington post? lame and not legit."

Lighten up people. It's interesting to look at, even for a person who was born in the 90s.
