viking mama Posted February 9, 2014 Share Posted February 9, 2014 Wow! I just watched a Swiss snowboarder...Sina Candrian... get robbed by the Olympic judges. Did that glove-scratch over the snow as she landed really wipe-out the entire effort put into that last magnificent final jump of hers??!! You know --- that magnificent 1080 off of a kicker that NO woman had landed in competition before!!!! I saw both bronze & gold medalists in the men's event have similar air-brushed touchdowns with their trailing gloves on their medal-winning jumps too...so - wow!!! This sport seriously needs to tweak its' scoring system (just like figure-skating judging morphed)...to reward relatively successful attempts by degrees...'cuz she was ACES!! The boarders who surpassed her in the standings for medals (she came 4th)... weren't worthy enough in their final runs... to carry her boots! Thanks for showing the world that a gal can ride & fly a snow-board... just as well as the guys, Sina! I hope you receive more just rewards from this sport in the future. Meanwhile - I will be cheering for a little more loudly for Swiss athletes, now. Karma just might see 1 of your countrymen... or country women... will earn some unexpected medal - to make up for the 1 stolen from you, today.
