So it could be said that by Quick playing so far outside his crease, he is almost setting a deliberate pick so that the NYR player(s) can't set up shop in that prime area in front of the net. It is mid June and the NHL is still playing. Anyone else see how ridiculous that is? And I guarantee the New York and Los Angeles media covering this series does as well. Even if this ends tonight, you have the awards, the draft, free agency and prospect camps. Then even if training camp starts in mid-September... the players usually have informal workouts a week or two prior. Life for an Oilers or Panthers beat writer must be nice.
