[Report] VAN interested in Ryan Miller

If the rumours of Tanev being traded are true, coupled with a Kesler trade, this is a smart move. Our team will be a hell of a lot worse defensively without our top shutdown center, plus a D core with 2 proven liabilities and one question mark in the top 4. Only Hamhuis is proven to actually know how to play defense out of that group. It could get real ugly for a rookie goalie playing behind that group.

First Bolland, now this? Only way I even consider this is if it's for 4 years and 5 million MAX, which is unlikely. Honestly, we need to trade Kes for futures , let our youth fill in the holes for the year and pick up a top 3 pick to grab a franchise player next draft. I do not want to be a bubble team eliminated in the first round.

At least we will still have Edler.

Good God Vancouver is interested in everyone :bigblush: However bringing in Miller is NOT a good idea. He sucks and hes gonna want a 3-4 yr contract at like @5+ million I think Lack is ready to start fill time. Id rather see the money go toward Dave Bolland and Matt Niskanen

This is ridiculous if true.

Man up and do a proper rebuild and stop panicking about season ticket renewals.

A band-aide solution will just prolong the inevitable.

This team never needed a FULL ON re-build, they just needed to get a youth injection. We don't need to blow anything up, we have a solid core that probably has a good year or two left. We need more of a re-tooling, imo.

If we can somehow get the likes of Reinhart without losing Shinkaruk, the future already looks bright without having to do anything.

These are also Free Agent signings, we lose absoloutely nothing other than $$$, which isn't even something we should care about other than cap space, which is also something we don't need to worry about since our core is already locked up.
