avelanch
exactly. all of the players he listed as guys the other teams are not sending are not eligible to be sent. he doesn't list a single player that's being held back that is eligible to play, because none of the other teams are holding back a single player that is eligible. he's just mad that we have the 2 most experienced (N/A pro games-wise) prospects playing. brownky
The Canucks have the youngest team there if you go by born on dates according to HF board, Winnipeg has a lot of AHL guys who went a long way in the playoffs last year. It's obvious that some Canuck pissed in the writers cornflakes, or he just hates the Canucks. I wonder if the writer is just using a pseudonym for someone whose name rhymes with Kason Crotchford. It's about the right amount of bitching and nonsensicalness to be true.

He's clearly trying to lower expectations at this tournament for his affiliated group. Flamers' prospects can now score bonus points, if they impress or exceed expectations in Pentiction. He's also attempting to deflect any criticism - if they dont. He'll totally score points with Burkie & others for hatin' on our 'Nucks. The guy's just preening-up for the season's up-coming dance with his preferred partners - that's all this is.
Canuck_in_AB
So now it's wrong to have a couple "rookie veterans" (if you can understand what I mean by that) come in and play with/mentor the new faces to help them along? Especially when it's within the rules? heh... ok. Some journalists just enjoy casting drama in to their otherwise non-news stories...
prana16
I can understand the writer's point of view. Corrado and Jensen are NHL ready and they have got little to prove in a tournament like this. Maybe the Canucks could have given their spots to two players who could have benefited more from this. I don't know why you are jumping to the conclusion that the writer is "bitter" when he is objectively trying to criticize a decision. If they had little to prove the team wouldn't bother risking injury, effort and everyones time sending them.
70seven
im trying to figure out why someone is belly aching about a prospects tournament... they neglect to metion in the article that van also WONT be dressing Virtanen, McCann, Tryamkin, Demko, Cassels.... Id rather have them in the lineup than Jensen and Corrado... idk really.... just PUMPED to watch some Canucks hockey!
ILL BILL NECRO
Since the tourney is about making some more money than anything, what's the problem with at least sending some potentially entertaining players? Making money? Have you been to the Penticton arena? It's tiny... Where does all of this so called money come from? Most NHL fans care less about prospects. The dam tickets cost 15 bucks a piece and are still not sold out, not even close..... Wow..... Just wow...

Lol, our so-called 'ringer' is a twenty-one year old fifth round draft choice with one year of AHL expenerience. He's a prospect by any definition. Why would the Canucks NOT send him? EmployeeoftheMonth
I'm guessing some butt hurt flames fan with a shinkaruk Jersey. I'm guessing the butthurt flames fans forums? I just assumed it was tony gallagher.
Baggins
Yup, Jensen and Corrado have have absolutely dominated the Oilers so far.
Amish Rake Fighter
If I was Benning and Willie D, I would want to see the developing prospects play as much as possible in the most competitive situation possible. That's what they are, prospects, and definitely not locks to make the team this year so I don't see the problem. That article was a confusing word salad. Mustapha
Flames fans want some cheese with your whine? I can see why Baertschi wasn't there....more hype than substance. Laurent Brossoit was making some nice saves out there for the Oilers however, they should thank Calgary for that gift. If Edmonton can take their time with him, Brossoit might be a stellar NHL goalie one day.
