Why does everyone heff to be so uptight?

We are so small compared to our solar system, and we think we have problems to worry about here, on these forums?

I don't see Fox making the team just yet, maybe in another year or two. However, he was one of the few bright spots I noticed watching the young stars classic. Horvat and Shinkaruk also impressed me. People tend to think Horvat was a no show because he didn't put points up, but he did a lot of the little things right which make the biggest differences. Shinkaruk has the heart of a lion, and seemed to never give up on the play. He was strong and vicious on the forecheck for a smaller guy. Jensen wasn't anything special, yet he showed flashes of brilliance, and Gaunge caught my eye in a bad way.

To my observation Fox is a crafty, smart and competitive hockey player. I believe he will play in the NHL.

His ceiling might be like a similar guy in Dino Cicarelli?

Speed and athleticism, perhaps its just fitness (?) and average size appear to be an Achilles heal standing between him and a more prominent expectation. But that was true for Dino as well. Who had the shot, the game smarts and feist abd was willing to mix it up in front of the net to make up for any perceived shortfalls in his game.

But that's the ceiling.

The first step is getting up to a pro level of work ethic. As suggested, there is enough to his game he can be a 2knd or 3rd liner in the NHL if he puts the work in. Perhaps a PP and late game "need a goal" specialist for offensive situations as well considering his knack for scoring. The work ethic will ultimately determine his fate IMO.

though he may never achieve the success of DC, I think that's a pretty good comparable. I also thought of Shanny, though, again, not at that level, just similar styles.

Okay first of all, guys, he scored 64 goals in OHL , it doesnt always mean that he'll score 30+ in NHL or AHL, because he said he models his game after Dave Bolland, and dave bolland scored more points than him when bolland was in london knight, Second, hes a great team first player. he has a good shot, and can make our team as a 4th liner replacing sestito because we have dorsett. but yeah.

This reply hurt my brain. I'm hoping English is your second language.

reality...it may very tough for the rookies to crack a fairly deep team( top 12 are no slouches)

bigger reality...........taking out a large amount of chaff from the prospect camp........slot these young players into a vetern laden mix

and see how well they do without defence (very shakey and young dmen) coughing up the puck consitently

get some flow into the game ...going the other way and see if they can really shine

most of our forwards did reasonable well considering dmen not named subban or ???? not able to make simple passes or too slow to make a quick pass....causing our forwards to stutter step all camp long.......and im not saying the forwards werent turning over the puck either........but you could see the otehr teams were more consistent blueline to forwards

in a week to two weeks we will seee how far along these guys are

Foxy will play in Utica. Will probably be a call-up. Even though he's old he had the benefit of maturing alongside McDavid.

He's not big but is gritty. I can see him being a top 6 PF. He will get goals that's for sure.

Gaunce and Shink will go to Utica. I believe Shinkaruk is closer than Horvat but because of the age situation, Bo will get the bias and start with the team.

Jensen is up in the air as he is just as ready but also has experience. Again, because of Bo's sitch, I see him joining the guys in Utica. We just don't have the room.

Of course in the preseason anything can happen. Three dudes could burst their balls and boom, spots open up.

With a nickname like Foxy, he has to be a zany character. Who comes up with these whimsical names anyway? He did well in his hockey fight too.
