Heretic
Fun fact: 4 times in the past first round playoff history vs Flames, the winner went on to the SCF. 82, 89, 94, 2004
Carl's Jn
i like our chances against calgary but i am worried about them. i am more scared about the kings atm...
jejejester
I would enjoy a first round against Calgary. Just would be worried to have to play ducks and kings in playoffs. Hopefully they get each other first round and beat each other up. Or kings don't make it and Minnesota or Winnipeg upset the Ducks
Langdon Algur
We are lined up with CGY at the moment. The payoff format has changed. Go to NHL.com --> standings --> wild card for the playoff picture. The new format should make things alot easier for the Canucks this year. asian player
There's an 80% chance we play against a California team. Maybe Nashville. Pick your poison

The Bookie
I want Los Angeles. We'll be true underdogs regardless who's got home ice advantage, and if they can manage to knock off the reigning Cup champ it would be a massive confidence boost. Go big or go home. My thinking exactly. If we get CGY, everyone would expect a victory, and underestimate the Flames.
CeeBee51
We can still end up as a wildcard team and face the Ducks or Nashville or St.Louis. Way to early to play the guessing game IMO
cleowin
In my humble opinion 1st round: STL @ MIN - 4-3 Series NSH @ CHI - 4-2 Series ANA @ WPG - 4-0 Series VAN @ CGY - 4-3 Series MTL @ OTT - 4-3 Series TBL @ DET - 4-2 Series NYR @ WSH - 4-2 Series NYI @ PIT - 4-2 Series 2nd Round: STL @ CHI - 4-2 Series ANA @ VAN - 4-2 Series MTL @ DET - 4-3 Series NYR @ PIT - 4-1 Series 3rd Round: STL @ VAN - 4-1 Series (Biased based on 3-0 Conf finals Record) MTL @ NYR - 4-3 Series Final: VAN @ MTL - 4-3 Series If CGY wins 1st round: 2nd round: STL @ CHI - 4-2 Series ANA @ CGY - 4-1 Series MTL @ DET - 4-3 Series NYR @ PIT - 4-1 Series 3rd Round: STL @ ANA - 4-2 Series (Biased based on 3-0 Conf finals Record) MTL @ NYR - 4-3 Series Final: STL @ MTL - 4-3 Series Reasoning: VAN @ CGY can go either way. pianoman13
According to Sportsclubstats.com we have a 53.5% of playing Calgary in the first round. I will take it.

BCNeil
How can you talk hockey, when its clear you don't even understand how the playoffs work? Maybe we can play Montreal first round, that would be so exciting

IbanezRG
LOL oh a tough kid It's a similar comparison to guitarists who know theory but have no actual ear for music versus guitarists who only play from sound and a mild understanding of theory. IE: Some kid on youtube who learns tabs like a mathbook versus Stevie Ray Vaughn. IE: People who like to follow and track stats closely but don't truly understand the feeling of the game versus eople who understand the game from a players perspective and just loosley follow stats.
