They misspelled Be-in too. Apparently I was at one as a child but I don't remember it. I was probably chasing geese while my parents and their friends listened to the music.

 

I remember hearing many of these songs from this thread on the radio. I used to slowly wheel through the stations and listen to stations from hundreds of miles away. Either the airwaves were less clogged and/or radio tuners were better back then.

I've talked to him a couple of times on his way to his vacation cabin on the island, seems like a good guy. I believe him to be very under rated, so many years and so many great songs. Not afraid to try different things as his big band era shows.
