Ok.....I'm happy.

Without meaning to cause offense..GML must be filled with GMs as dumb as a bag of nails to allow Chychrun, Brown, Niemelainen and Girard to all go that late - Girard shoukd have gone at least 30 spots sooner!

A quite incredible draft TM, well done.

Big day in Washington as the organization added both Henrik Zetterberg and Clayton Keller.

Days like draft day when you are working against a time restraint can be very difficult and mistakes can often be made. Things happened very quickly today and things definitely didn't go as planned. However my team just got a lot stronger for this upcoming season and added a future piece with loads of upside.

New Jersey Devils

DRAFT REPORT: The New Jersey Devils ended up with seven selections at the 2016 CDCGML Entry Draft. To our surprise only two targets we had focused on ended up elsewhere by the end of the night. We were very happy to end up with the talent we added with most of our selections coming in the 3rd round.

2nd Round, 56th Overall: Defenseman, Vili Saarijarvi:

- Bringing in Vili at the 56th Overall spot we feel was a steal, he is a highly offensive, quick, and slippery defenseman. What he lacks in size he makes up for with smarts, skill, and speed. Though he will need time to develop we could be looking at a future power play quarterback here.

3rd Round, 65th Overall: Forward, Nathan Bastian:

In adding big forward Nathan to the organization we feel we have a potential early second rounder here whom we again feel was a steal in the mid-sixties. His size and complete game with a budding offensive side is something we could not pass up on. We see him as a solid top nine forward who could flirt with top six potential as he develops.

3rd Round, 67th Overall: Forward, Peter Cehlarik:

- The Devils are excited to see this young goal scorer develop in the system. A pure goal scorer who plays with an edge we look forward to his contributions down the road.

3rd Round, 78th Overall: Defenseman, Jeremy Lauzon:

- Thrilled to select Jeremy at 78th Overall, we see his combination of skill, size and his passion for the game as a strong point. We expect him to develop into a quality defenseman who could be a productive top four blueliner for us down the road, he has tremendous upside in our opinion.

3rd Round, 82nd Overall: Forward, Robin Kovacs:

- In Robin we see a young forward oozing with offensive ability and potential. He will be given all the time he needs to develop and establish a consistent and reliable game while being a dangerous offensive weapon for us.

3rd Round, 85th Overall: Defenseman, Kyle Capobianco:

- Kyle is a pure offensive blueliner, he has potential to be a power play quarterback by using his distribution skills and solid shot from the point. He has the potential to be a big producer from the back end down the road.

3rd Round, 88th Overall: Forward, Alex Dergachyov:

- A big bodied forward who although has good hands and does have an offensive side to the game, we see him more as a top nine, worst case bottom six forward who can contribute. He will likely push for a role with the big club within the next 2 years as a depth forward with upside.

*DISCLAIMER* I don't pretend to know more than the countless articles and reports I read on these players, I enjoy researching these players and taking risks on some potentials based off of how the professionals rate, view, and analyze these players.

Sarcasm?

Haha no actually. I guess it was supposed to come off as in we already know he'll have a great draft because he's usually right about these things and it confirms my feelings of contempt and jealousy

           Edmonton Oilers Prospect Pool;

Nick Paul      Pavel Zacha      Kerb Rychel

Tyler Benson  Brett Howden  Axel Holmstrom

Justin Kirkland  Henrik Borgstrom  Casey Bailey

Cole Ully     Christian Thomas  Ahti Oksanen

                          Jared Knight

            Jacob Jerabek   Klas Dahlbeck

           Lucas Carlsson   Frederic Allard

          Jesper Lindgren Kenney Morrison

       Christian Marti  Jonathan Ismael-Diaby

                          Matt O'Connor

                           Colin Stevens

Of this pool only three (Diaby, Thomas & Knight) were with us on this day last year.  We also brought in young players Alex Chiasson, Jeff Skinner & the very exciting Justin Faulk! We think there is dark horse upside in Carlsson & Lindgren, a surprise for many when we can bring Jerabek over.

For everything we have done wrong? Our flap up on pick 4 will unfortunately cost us a chunk of time before we are seriously competitive. But just above ^^^ there is quite a few future NHL players among? If we keep this up we will be competitive sooner than some expect. We believe our young team is so much better than it was!
