Ottawa please when you get a chance!

@Mike Vanderhoek assembled too big of a powerhouse and we threw everything we had at him but it wasn't enough. We would like to give Jake Guentzel a shout out for his 16 points in 7 games so far, the kid shows up in the playoffs and knows how to score big goals.

I now have to figure out how to get some big name free agents to sign on the dotted line...

With thanks for service; the Oilers advise they will not be renewing contracts with the following RFA's;

Cole Ully

Matt O'Connor

Christian Thomas

Colin Stevens

Chris Driedger

Kenney Morrison (signed in Norway)

Max Friberg

Caleb Herbert

GM CS said it was the Oilers current goal to concentrate on long term core players. Admitted disappointment ''we did not have had a better development curve with a couple, who were once promising prospects?''

@canuck2xtreme

If you have time? Can you please adjust our depth chart as following;

Brendan Perlini  Joe Thornton  ____________

____________  Frans Nielsen  Marcus Folino

Henrik Borgstrom Pavel Zacha  Lias Anderson

Curtis Lazar    Oskar Sundkvist  ___________

Greg McKegg

_____ X _____ Justin Faulk

Oskar Klefbom  Julius Honka

  Andrej Sustr  Derek Pouliot

Ian McCoshen  Ben Harpur

Corey Crawford

____________

West Coast Eagles;

Tyler Benson Rasmus Asplund Axel Holmstrom

Matt Moulson      Nick Paul     Nick Lappin

Justin Kirkland   Mitch Hults     Landon Ferraro

Casey Bailey     Linus Olund       Deven Sideroff

Jesper Lindgren Lukas Bengtsson

____________    _____________

____________    _____________

Troy Grosenick

Igor Shestyorkin

Note*  Curtis Lazar, Nick Paul, Greg McKegg & Ian McCoshen are RFA

Unsigned Prospects; Frederic Allard, Lucas Carlsson, Jake Oetinger, Grant Mismash, Noel Hoefenmeyer, Nicholas Hague

UFA's Colton Sceviour, Zach Trtman, Nikolai Kulemin, Dennis Siedenberg, Eddie Lack

Looking at our depth chart, we look ok mid and long term at G, D and C. Need immediate and long term help at wing, some depth & a backup goalie!  And it would be helpful if one of our young C's emerged as a replacement for Joe Thornton at 1C?  But that is within the upside of one or two of our pivots.

One of our priorities this summer will be some veteran wing help. As such we have reached out to Colton Sceviour to stay on with the Oiler family. A college, undrafted or Euro young UFA would probably have a great shot in our depth chart at wing, or D as well!

So fun to see this unfold....WIthout a big pushback the western conference final seems destined to be Squeak V C2X....O>O

wow, the East is still a beast: anyone's game there.

Hey @canuck2xtreme, could you please adjust my roster sheet to reflect the following:

Taylor Hall - Matt Duchene - Jordan Eberle

Alex Galchenyuk - Nolan Patrick - ?

Richard Panik - Ryan Strome - ?

Carl Soderberg - ? - ?

?

Shea Theodore - ?

Thomas Hickey - Erik Johnson

Jake Dotchin - ?

?

Henrik Lundqvist

?

A number of the "?"'s will be filled by our RFA's who will be qualified ahead of contract negotiations for longer-term deals. Those players include Max Domi, Brett Pesce, Matt Nieto, JT Compher, Ville Husso and Steve Santini. It is undecided at this time whether or not Adam Tambellini will receive his qualifying offer. Clayton Stoner, Zach Redmond and Richard Bachman are expected to becoming UFA's on July 1st.

And with Duchene having already re-signed, the condition of the ARI-MTL trade gives ARI our 2018 MTL 2nd and we retain the 2018 WPG 3rd. Also, since we did not win the draft lottery, our 2019 1st can no longer be involved in the conditional deal with PIT so it can be released back to us.

Cheers

I need San Jose to go 7 games, with Brent Burns picking up c.15pts in the last 5 games to have a cat in hells chance. Stupid Islanders, Blackhawks, Blues and Stars missing the playoffs and taking all my big name players out of post-season contention :angry:
