Detroit Happened

And a potential for a far better backup.

was just half teasing and half thinking maybe said player probably would be upset to hear this, the agent would probably lose confidence in a team saying this and the overall vibe one month after said player signed a multi year deal probably would not be looked highly upon.

Says Mike who has traded every player and asset more than once

Jonathan Bernier is on the block. We are looking at different options in the back up slot as we have come out of the gate strong this year. Price won't be that expensive. Anyone needing a back up look no further

If he wasn't playing (and hence losing) for DET, I'd have had interest. Right now my Panthers 3rd string 'back-up' is handily outscoring Bernier in pool points

Awesome! I took a bite at Canopy and Tilray, both have been strong so far.

Im long term confident in Canopy, after the repeated large investments from Constellation Brands. As long as hey keep showing support, I’m stayin :)

Tilray has a bit of overhype, due to success in the states, which lead to heavy front end jump-ins. I’m looking to sell 1/2 of it when I get home (probably after the 17th), and roll to HEXO, who is currently an underdog, but is lined-up to establish a cannabis beverage agreement with Molson Coors. Cannabis beverages are on EVERY street corner her in Europe!

Cryptocurrency was a fad, and has no consumer protection or industry regulation... this is the real deal, and possibly our best chance at ground floor investment in our lifetime.

I’ve been thinking about this, you don’t think this a bubble? All these companies are just building equity and more equity and more equity based on speculation.  I feel we are overlooking stuff like p to e ratios and stuff like that.

Idk I wasn’t around in the 2000s but wasn’t there something similar like this called the “dot com bubble”

We're taking on some risk, but getting a bit younger hoping Robbi has some upside.

We were a bit light on roster forwards & wanted to support our other players. So this with a decent draft pick seemed a good risk to take where Faulk only has this year and next on his pact.

Faulk is off to a good start as is Carolina in real life. Good luck Justin & @Primal Optimist

Wife and I are stoked to be taking my boys to their first Canucks game Jan 20 against DET.

Any tips for getting the most out of the experience for the kids? We'll be bringing ear muffs for them for sure but beyond that... not really sure. Usually I just buy beers when I go but we're in the no drinking section, so...

How old are the boys?

Just let them cheer & have fun.

Lots to unpack here today: First of all a huge welcome to Justin Faulk, we were stoked to get him and before the trade even went public he scored pool points for us from the blueline. Perfect.  Robby Fabbri never even got off a plane in New York since we acquired him injured and moved him injured a week later. We hope he has a full recovery, as we were expecting and still expect, but our primary issue this year is on the blueline and pairing Mr Fabbri with a 2020 2nd brought us this steller top 4 dman in the prime of his career. I would make that call again and again.

Release: The New York Rangers would like to release Nick Shore as he has signed overseas with Magnitogorsk of the KHL.

It is never good to see guys head overseas from a GM perspective but from a hockey fan pov this is cool. The more North Americans embark like voyageurs across the globe and spread the hockey mythos far and wide the better the hockey future will be. We wish Nick all the best with "Metallurg Magnitogorsk" A city in Russia that I learned about while plying my trade. Most of the steel used in the Russian navy fleets is mined out of the mountains near this industrial city in pretty much the middle of the land mass of Russia. haha. Best of luck buddy.

I may pick up 10 thousand shares of Aurora tomorrow near the close as they have trended down out of bubble territory since the 16th but today got a licence to provide weed to the Polish Ministry of Health. o.O yeah baby.

Thank you Canucks Surfer for good, hard, but friendly talks. I would have been far more comfortable with a 3rd but i still value the trade using a 2nd, Well done.

Honestly, I give my full thumbs up on this one (me, being a random gardener-stranger from your jockey pool). This is not a bubble, but some people will lose. They won’t all make it.

My theory is diversify, and add breadth to my investment as I go. I’m making my own ‘mutual fund’ based on overall investment in the market, not one company. The investment rush is most certainly momentum based, but coming out with companies that have actually equity or market share makes it an actual sound investment.

Dot com bubble happened because it was new. This is not new. Europe has been marketing canabis for decades, and the states has been running stocks and investments for years now. This leads to the beverage industry and medicinal supplements. This is big. Literally on every street corner, liquor store and small market in all the stores I saw in amdsterdam and Prague.

It just takes a fair fair amount of research and interest, not so different from hockey pool. I shared my strategy for Tilray above. They have had success in the states, and were an early start-up, and thus received tons of interest, and went like wildfire on the market. Like you say, all the investment, but no plan.

Happy to say I bought in around $65, and sold out on Oct 12, as I planned, somewhere just over $148.30. Today it’s dropped to $106, as investments from beverage companies continue to go to other companies. I’ve got a buddy that owns a contract brewing company in Vancouver, and he has a meeting with a new proposal everyday. People lining up for when beverages liscences are released. I ended up doubling down on Aurora and CannTrust (my new fave - four quarters of

positive operating income and positive net income already on the books).

My opinion:

Overall, I think this is real.

Overall, never invest money you actually need. It’s like walking into a casino, you may never see it again.

Cryptocurrency is an unregulated bubble market.

Constellation beverages estimated cannabis in Canada will generate 200 billion dollars in its first 15 years. (edibles and drinkables to reach approval in 2019).

I voted you up because you mentioned what i like too. Instead of going into an ETF for weed or a fund comprised of lots of weed companies...(which have some management fees come off the top all the time) I am diversifying my own market segment on weed by buying several and making my own "weed market fund" with several companies and even some businesses that are market adjacent to weed itself: vaporizors for instance. haha. I also like the advice that you may lose your shirt so don't bet your shirt..bet your spare change, not the house.

Dominik Kahun is leading the Blues with 38 FTP`s  , Nutivaara also has 38 , followed by injured Pettersson with 36 Points.

Well Pettersson would have defintely more points if he would not have missed some games.

kahun is a surprise though. some weeks ago i was a little bit skeptical about signing him for 2,150 million bucks per year

but he imediately found chemistry with the hawks top 6 squad it seems ....so for now he´s worth every penny .

vets atkinson and hoffman with 35 and 31 ftp´s ...both had a good start .   ehlers and fiala slowly moving up.

when pettersson returns ...we have a good top 6 squad ...well if ehlers and fiala can improve.

skiej 31 ftp´s , bouw 17 ....thats solid .....  dermott is disapointing with 11 pts so far. the leafs hammer out goals like if there was no tomorrow

but dermott isnt there when this happens ..... time to warm up

davidson wit hjust one game but with an assist , cleasson with solid defensiv numbers ...sadly he got injured

behind that.... perreault with 14 pts,  sprong with 10 pts and kyrou with 7 ftp´s . all playing 4th line minutes

johnston only played one game so far ..fritz and grimaldi too.

quenneville had some stats but not scorerpoints.

johnston ...i excepted more after he was signed for 4 years IRL.  hope he will get some more starts but it seems he has to wait for some injuries

on the isles roster. their bottom 6 where scoring a lot of goals lately.

kinda perfect ...our goaltending .... ullmark 2 starts 2 wins 1 shutout , kuemper 3 starts  2 wins  ...both having a great GAA and SV%

but they get to less starts ...that kuemper played back to back was a result of an illness of yotes starter rantaa . but kuemper showed that he is

able to win games ...and ullmark too

the season is long  ....next news out of st.louis next week  ....blues october report
