Have Canes sign him to a 4 to 4.5 million dollar contract to guarantee we don,t lose him to free agency (that sounds like the money he is asking for). Canucks give up Sutter and Goldobin and possibly the seventh we got from the Ducks for Del Zotto, ridding our selves of Sutter's salary frees up the money to cover Ferland deal? The Beagle had landed Posted January 17, 2019 Share Posted January 17, 2019 I feel like the addition of Goldobin is a deal killer for a player like Ferland and maybe even Puljujarvi. It might take Virtanen or Gaudette or a prospect like Dahlen or Lind plus a pick to make the other team pull the trigger. Canucks aren't giving up their 1st, especially this year, but what if they traded Edler for a 1st, and then traded that 1st+ to CAR for Ferland?
