Very excited to get Thomas signed long term in Columbus. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to acquire him a few weeks ago. This signing marks the end to that trade where we sent The Toronto Maple Leafs the Third Overall Selection in 2020. We have managed to bolster our D core and will continue to address our needs heading into the draft. Any and all Lehner talks have been tabled. We are happy with our goalie situation - We may explore trade options later in the offseason but no offers have really compelled us to make a move. We are unsure how Blackwood will fare in his second full NHL season so we are undecided what we will do. Open to offers but no decision has been made yet either way. Talks on Pick 15 have been ongoing - We have received offers from about 8 teams but nothing yet has made us pull the trigger. As with our Krejci trade discussions last fall - we are open to making a trade but it has to be for the right return. We have 1 offer we really like and may take at 15 but we are waiting to see how the draft unfolds. If you want to get in on the action don't be afraid to reach out on CDC or discord.
