Kudos for keeping the faith and building a GML team around the best players on the best NHL team! As for me, back to the drawing board. As previously mentioned before, you have practically built/been a part of teams that have gone to the finals in back to back seasons. You've been here before, you've won here before and will continue to do so in the future. Your GM work is something we all look up to. Virtual handshakes and butt slaps to you and your players. We will also like to recognize the great battles that our team had to endure prior to the finals. The Stars, Canucks and Jets are all very well built teams with great leadership. Every single round had lineups that had me concerned, regardless of their results. I look forward in keeping up to par with all of your competitive teams, @theminister, @Master Mind and @canuck2xtreme. Thank you to the people who have believed in and reached out to me in regards to what I am trying to build here in Nashville. It really does mean a lot. Special shoutout to @canuck2xtreme once more and to his exec team in running yet another successful season. Even throughout these tough times, they all have been able to keep running this league the way it has always been ran, as the best league in CDC. To be frank, this is something that I did not envision myself writing this season or even in the near future. My team really did take a bigger leap then what I had projected this season, but this only further validates the belief I have had in them since day 1. Like many others here, I have spent years in this league and many hours trying to mold a team that I see fit winning multiple championships. To now also realize that I am in the history books along side the names of @theminister, @Ty Webb, @lethunder, OTIS and other great GMs, it makes all of this still seem sorta surreal. Word out of New Jersey this morning is that a trade is being finalized within League offices between the club and an Eastern Conference counterpart. It is believed a top four offensive blueliner is Jersey bound while seemingly a package of futures is on the way out.....Maybe GM Mike Vanderhoek found some picks to burn ? We are currently looking to acquire draft picks for this draft. we have moved up a bit from our 19 pick in a deal made today and would like to acquire another top 10 pick. Azzy Posted September 29, 2020 Share Posted September 29, 2020 Following our run to the Stanley Cup Final, the Detroit Red Wings are looking to make changes to their lineup to ensure that this team can take that final step and go one better next season. Any team looking to make moves is encouraged to discuss options with us - while there are some players who will categorically not be moving, we are willing to listen on some players that may previously have been considered life-long Red Wings. We are also willing to part with our 2020 1st round draft pick, and our 2021 picks, to improve the team. We will also be listening to offers for the UFA rights to Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Richard Panik and Chad Ruhwedel. It's now up to 30 GMs to ensure that @Sergei Bobrovsky and his Nashville Predators do not repeat as GML Champions next season - I wish every GM a huge amount of luck over the off-season and next season. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

As for our plans heading into the draft - we will be shopping Shayne Gostibehere with 2 years of max retention, looking for a young return of picks and prospects. - We also have a incredible amount of cap space and willing to use that to take on bad contracts in order to acquire future assets. - The Wild have a TON of picks and are willing to discuss moving back from anywhere in order to acquire more!
